Out Of Game Gamma

Ever since I downloaded and installed NS, my desktop gamma has been changed to be extreemly bright. I can return it to normal by opening the 'color' option in the desktop options, but whenever I start my computer or play NS, the gamma goes back up. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, what have you done about it? <!--emo&::lerk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/lerk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='lerk.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::onos::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tiny.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::fade::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/fade.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='fade.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::gorge::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/pudgy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='pudgy.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='skulk.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::siege::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/siege.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='siege.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::sentry::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/turret.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='turret.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::marine::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/marine.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='marine.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Put resetgamma.exe as a program to run after hl, I did this in .hlla and it stops the bright gamma if the game freezes/crashes

    ok, well that fixes the symptomes, but not the disease (see Frankenfurter we can do em both)

    ok, the general reason for this is that NS crashed (otherwise NS should reset the gama itself)

    give us SysSpecs and if you have been killing NS with like altF4 or something

    The gamma problem occurs any time I exit NS, wether or not it crashes, and also whenever I bring my laptop out of hibernation. As for the .hlla file - where is that?

    umm, this is not an NS problem if it hapens when you wake your comp up.

    nuff said

    either that or there is something you aint telling us, cuss simply nuff NS CAN'T effect anything with out running.

    So I would bet on hardware or something (update drviers, ALL OF THEM)
