List Of Ns Servers With Latest Cheating-death ?

<div class="IPBDescription">('cause I'm seeing cheaters)</div> Is there somekind of NS server list telling if they have Cheating-Death (what version) and with a vote-kick enabled ?

Lately, I've been to servers that were either not using C-D at all or an old version and cheaters are poping into these. I've played a couple of match where we all found out about 1-2 cheaters playing. It was way too obvious they were cheating. Experienced players noticed them and told them to get off. Unfortunetly, the admin software didn't have a vote-kick on them.

Just by looking at the server list, it doesn't tell me if vote-kick is there and what latest version of C-D they are using. Knowing this in advance would save time and frustration.

p.s. : one of those cheater was named "Morron"

    First off, some clans have damn good and werid playing that can look like cheating, in fact they just know the game better and use their brains instead of running into traps.
    Second NS has build in wallhacks (MT SOF), listening to sounds is essential, the comm can look and hear trough walls...
    -> you have to overserve one person for at least 1-2 complete rounds to be able to say he cheats, and you can rarely tell if someone has a wallhack or not.
    Speedhacks are out of that, they are obvious.
    First person spectating makes this easier but gives no garanties.

    CD-REQ servers simply should have the latest version CD-opt servers of course dont need them that much.
    If "CD" is in the server name you can be more sure that the admin cares for it, watch for thoose.

    Thats kinda the point, he wants to find servers where it is most likely that cheaters will not be present, but he doesn't know how to determine if a server is admined, had some kind of admin-mod, and/or runs the most recent version of CD.

    The thing is , yes there ARE some good players out there but in some of the demos I'v seen , some people were shooting a lerk and the lerk redempted, the person strafed around the spot where the lerk was and kept shooting with 100% aim of where the lerk was. Same with some other guy shooting an onos in another demo I have.

    Almost every FFT member (including me) has admin powers, so if you go to our clan server there will be no cheating of any kind. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    <a href='http://www.udpsoft.com/eye2/index.html' target='_blank'>The All-Seeing Eye</a> has a filter for C-D, both required and optional. IMHO it's also the best server browser available (for online games in general). I never really use the filter though; just find a server that you like and is heavily- and well-adminned, and you shouldn't have a problem with cheaters.

    Thanks for your reply but I'm no newbie. I'm an active player (almost every single night) for almost a full year now and I know what you are talking about and that has nothing to do with what I and others saw on those servers : one bullet one kill even with level 3 carapace, 30 skull biteing in less then 1 sec with only one skull attacking you, ... We had watched those players for at lest 4-6 games and 90% of all people playing that night figured out they were cheating. Wall hack are hard to tell expecialy with Parasiting and Motion tracking.

    I've seen server names with CD in it and they had a C-D 2-3 verions behind the latest one. So on those, either the admin is leasy or it's a poor quality server that isn't being monitored.

    There are cheaters out there. There aren't that many. In one year of playing NS, I've only seen about 4-5 but it seams to be in the past few weeks only. I didnt' see them before that. Maybe they found a bug in the NS 2.x versions or some part of the 2.X source code got leaked <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> I don't recall seeing them in the 1.X versions.

    I dont' know if theire will be less or more cheaters once converted to steam but until I use Steam, I'm using the WonID server way and want to enjoy playing NS until I'm forced to switch to Steam.


    p.s. : I admit that I don't have the habbit of keeping notes on good/bad servers I played on. My internal server list gives me an average of 130 servers but about only the first 10-20 give me a ping below 100. So if you find a good server, it doesn't mean it will be good for me also (from a ping point of view).

    I don't recall but can Cheating Death reside with that whatchamakallit admin tool that you have to type admx_help to get the client sided options ?

    Get the all seeing eye server browser (dunno website, just google it). Its 28x better than the HL browser, and allows you to only show CD servers and even auto-starts CD when you join a CD server.
