Let me start by saying I've been playing NS without problems since October 31st, 2002. Today, I was playing in a random pub while waiting for my favorite server to have an open slot. A game ended so I decided to connect to my favorite, and sure enough I got in. I joined marines and I was dead, "reinforcing". Then, instead of spawning, I got this error, and disconnected. This was running NS through WON, not steam.

(When sizing the screenshot, I didn't cut off any of the error, I was trying to size it down but couldn't figure out how to get rid of the big white area and just make the pic smaller, so I just posted it the way it was.)

I saw that error before when I ran a server behind a Linksys router that really sucked. The error you saw isn't client-side, it's server side. Their data somehow got muddled when it was sent you.
Regardless, it isn't something you should worry about as a client, as long as you avoid that server. Odds are that server is dropping people left and right already anyway.

^^^^^ what he said^^^^^ (man, doing that alot)

my post is more random ;P

simply select the area you WANT to keep, hit ctrl-x (cut) create a new canvas and ctrl-v (paste) most programs will auto size the canvas to fit (if they don't simply drag the canvas size till it fits <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->)
