That pic looks exactly like the graphics on a voodoo 4 when you disable hardware T&L.
BTW I haven't got to read Destroying Angels, so I've no idea exactly what the story is behind the aliens.... I'm just telling you the original concept.
The original concept was that the alien eggs were down a looooooooooong shaft, and thus not actually in the Jockey ship per se. These eggs were stored by the inhabitants of LV 426 who used them to aid reproduction. Hence the large pyramid and strange alien carvings in the landscape - scenes which were later cut from the film.

Can I just say that I know people who try to use these toys as hackjobs for various boardgames, and I keep telling them YOU CANNOT DESTROY AN ALIENS TOY, ITS SACRILEGE!
