I am going to use this channel to organize these events, and you will use it later on to create your clans or join others. Start getting on this so we can start as soon as possible.

Even if you did not sign up for this, this channel is open to anyone looking find people to create or join a clan.

Just gotta get this off my chest, it's been bugging me everytime I see it.

It's IRC, Internet Relay Chat

mIRC is only one of MANY MANY clients that can be used to access IRC.
You don't "go on mIRC" just like you don't go on Internet Explorer.
You use mIRC to access IRC just like you use Internet Explorer to access the internet.

Sorry, just wanted to straighten that out because it's been bugging me.

So what other programs can you use to access the IRC/Internet Relay Chat. Because as far as I know, mIRC is a trial program unless you pay the $20 registration fee.

There are hundreds of clients. Just pick your operating system.

The training was great fun, really interesting, and extremely helpful considering as how I am just now actively involved in trying to become a part clan life. Even the little things like discussing upgrades which most people have down was really helpful, because it brought up some points of clan play that I didn't think about. An example of this would be, in pub games I always get carapace as a gorge (I have a great story about that but I don't want to embarrass one of my vet buddies <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'>), but I do really well as a carapace gorge, I've taken out shotguners, jpers, etc., all as single marines (1 v. 1), but due to the no rambo factor in scrims, a cara gorge would be worthless (one of the points made), I didn't really think about that. My thanks go out to you jojo, all the other the pandas, and the #cri member or two, we very much so appreciate you sharing your time and tallent with us. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'> I definitely look forward to more learning, and watching you guys scrim. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'>

Hey, I don't know the specifics of what the pandas are teaching, but I think this is a great idea. I just wanted to add that in case you aren't able to attend their "classes" or aren't interested in participating in them, I'd be glad to do one on one training in the more subtle parts of battle. Using pubs as a framework it shouldn't take more than 3 or 4 games to grasp the concepts and it should improve your gameplay pretty immediately, with more and more improvement coming as you refine those tactics. I want to focus on this because I think that the people who would be interested in this sort of tutoring would be those who probably don't need to much help figuring out the strategy side of things.

Anyway, I'm an informal guy, so I'd prefer if you just contacted me through <u>#damagenet</u> on <b>gamesnet.net IRC </b>whenever you wanted a lesson and I could help you out if I was free, but if you need to schedule ahead or just want to drop a line you can reach me at

I'm in there all the time, but I've yet to see anything really happen. I guess you did the first training session while I was gone on saturday, so if there are going to be times when stuff will happen, can you set it in the topic or something? Just so people know and all. I find it hard to keep up with the channels I'm in and still look through all the small talk in #findnsclan for a tidbit of info on when something's going to happen.

Actually you use IE to access the world wide web, and FTP and Gopher..
