<div class="IPBDescription">Has anyone bought it/Played it?</div> Savage looks like an interesting game in the same vein as ns. I was just wondering if anyone has played it and what they think of it.

    If you're keen to pay for an NS-like game, buy a Constellation membership instead.

    Thanks for the info. I was hoping there would be more of a teamwork emphasis, as that's what i like best about ns.

    No matter what people on these forums tell me, I'm still buying Savage. <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I wouldn't buy it even if I wanted to, all my cash is going to Halo for PC and Half Life 2, then Christmas stuff for the family...

    if you've got the spare cash, and you liked NS, savage is a pretty nice change. It's like NS, only fundamentally different.. Oh, and just one player CAN make a big difference, that's also a nice feeling. "Raw skillz" meaning more than just a change in the strat.

    I'm heading off to the local gaming store tonight.

    I hope they already have Savage. <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo-->

    don't buy it from a store.. they charge 10 bucks more than if you get it online.. that really deserves the <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo--> face, if you ask me. I'm holding out on getting it until the price drops to 40, like it's sold online for.

    Question for those who have played it online:

    Are there people actually playing it?

    I know it sounds like a dumb question, but as with all online games, your experience depends somewhat on the other players. No matter how cool an online game sounds/looks/is, if noone is playing it there's no fun to be had. If there is a rockin' community behind it, then I'd say it warrants a look.

    I don't want to go out and buy a game only to find a bunch of empty servers

    PS. thanks for all of your replies! I think a lot of people on this forum are interested in this game, its good to get the lowdown from people who have actually played it.

    mmmm

    Its OK, I played in the beta, was kinda fun for a while but then just got silly

    the fact is that even with out NS to compare it to, it is only a mediocer game

    Graphix = rock
    concept = rock (duh)
    controll and such = Best it can be
    diversity = lacking

    both sides are very very similar, there aren't even the diffs you would get say from warcraft 2 (never played 1)

    both teams have the same tech tree (basicly), there are a few variant but not enugh to make it worth it.
    Yet they still seem to have a hard time balancing it.

    its sorta silly, both are realy close to each other, but still unbalanced...

    Then add in the fact that NS is free....
    Go play gunbound if you want another game <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Savage is a great game, although i like NS better then savage it's still a great game. The graphics arent the greatest but the enviroments are great looking. if i was you, wait til it comes down to 20-30 dollar range and pick up a copy. it sounds to be a really modable game and the dev's are releasing the SDK soon. i hope that helps...
