plz
Today i decided to make a custom logo..... i spent about an hour designing it.... and eventually got it to look like this:

but in game all that happens is the text shows up blue (or whatever other color i select...

ive played around with colors (figured out black= transparent.... but beyond that i dont know what to do to make it work

The tombstone doesent show up at all... just the circle around RIP and my name all in blue (or the color selected)

I know its possible to make logos with more than one color.. as ive seen people spray pictures and what not... my question is... HOW??

Thanks in advance

~Jason

(P.S. the original file IS a bmp.. this one is a jpeg simply so i could upload it)

Ok the way you are doing it is the very simple way of creating a greyscale bitmap and putting it in a directory. This only allows transparency like youve found and a one-colour picture or pattern. What you need is HL Logo Creator. This is a new way of creating your spray, it creates a pldecal.wad which is where your custom spray is kept. Each mod directory would have its own pldecal.wad which allows a spray for each mod and these can be in colour. Due to OpenGL and HL engine textures it wont be very clear but you can get a okish picture to spray on the walls. Get HLC here, hosted at my website www.InfraHook.com

The most important thing to remember, is DO NOT go into the customize menu after replacing the pldecal.wad

You see, halflife likes it if sprays to be only two colours, black and red, or black and blue, or black and green, etc. And the customize menu likes to override and change the pldecal.wad so it matches what halflife likes. This will screw up your spray. (It's incredibly annoying too.)

You can avoid losing your spray to the customize menu by making your custom pldecal.wad READ-ONLY. Very useful!
