Yeah, like *that* was ever in doubt.
The percentages on the front page *are* a lot of information, guys... even if it's two weeks old, I *know* you all have the brain power to do a little extrapolation from those numbers. Anyway, you can't expect them to be updating every second with new information for you... they're trying to get this stuff done! Hell, Flayra's working full-freakin-time on NS.
You've gotten a few changelogs; you may get more. You get a barrage of screenshots after almost every playtest. You got the percentages on the main page. You've got a bunch of playtesters *and* some of the devs telling you (a) it's really close, and (b) they're working as fast as they can.
*I*'ll tell you that the frequency of bug reports has dropped substantially... most of what's been going on in the last few weeks has been fixing bugs, not finding them.
Y'all have a very responsive dev team here... just step back and imagine what this community would be like if Flay, MonsE, and the rest *weren't* the guys at the helm. The Horizons development team used to have a completely open relationship with all its fans; about a year ago, they completely shut the community out and have ignored the substantial fanbase they created ever since. What if those guys were in charge of NS, eh? You don't know how good you have it.
Someone did do the math on those percents using the comment that NS has been in development for about 2 years but he didn't include any other factors. (Like when Flay was still working with the concept and wasn't working with NS full time and the addition of new team members) He came up with a date so horrible, it would have Flayra and MonsE's mailboxes flooded with flames for years.
Also, if mutant sees this, we are releasing 2.0 Final very soon, we have squashed most of the bugs, features are all in, you can expect it very shortly, but no eta's like NS
