<div class="IPBDescription">Ive already checked other posts.</div> At times when I try to start NS my screen becomes cropped, when I get into the game, if I ESC and get back in, I am unable to see my health and ammo, etc. ..
I also get the 640_OverwatchScheme.tga error.
I have read the other posts on this issue and none of them refer to a fix for this issue that works for me.
My specs:
WindowsXP Pro SP1
Abit IC7 motherboard
2.4ghz HT P4
1GB PC3200 Geil DDR
80GB Western Digital Special Edition hard drive, 60gb maxtor, 120gb maxtor SATA drive (WD drive is master)
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro (3.7 drivers)
Sound Blaster Audigy sound card
Half Life (NS) configured for:
1024x768
32bit colors
OpenGL
Desktop is set to:
1028x1024@32bpp@75 hertz
If I run the desktop as 1024x768, it works fine, but this is a work around and its a pain in the butt to have to do that each and every time.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled both Half Life and NS several times.
Ive also uninstalled and reinstalled my Video drivers.
I did not have these problems until 2.0.
Thanks in advance.

I'm guessing your missing a setting
I get the error 1024_overwatchscreen.tga, its a missing file.
as for the cropping error, yah, it exists
there is no fix (aside from setting desktop rez properly)
it aint a work around, its the fix (simply LEAVE your desktop at that rez, unles you have bad vission and can't read it then)
/me shakes head at all the silly people who use low desktop rez sizes
Also, I cant leave the desktop at that rez .. i gatta run it high .. it drives me nuts looking at this 19" monitor at 1024x768 ..
I would run HL @ my desktop res, but HL does not have a selection for 1280x1024 .....
Ive seen others who have this option, but I do not.
Any way to add that res to half lifes selections?
