<div class="IPBDescription">NS and steam</div> steam sux, but i need i to play cs 1.6

When i install steam, it moves Halflife into the steam folder.
I use HLSW to play NS. When steam moves my Halflife stuff into the steam folder it kinda removes the hl.exe or at least i can't find i anywhere on my computer but i can stilll play cs and hl, but not ns. HLSW needs the hl.exe, without it i can't play ns. You can't play ns through steam.
Am i missing something or am i just stupid?

Exactly the same has happened to me, i used hlsw to play all of my custom games. Is there any way to fix this?

ok, when you installed steam...... there was an option to keep your existing folders as is............ i hope you checked it, if not, you need to reinstall Half Life. Ok, if you did choose the option to keep your folder intact, then you should be able to locate the HL.exe in your sierra folder, which is stored be default under
c:\sierra\halflife\hl.exe.......... right click it, create shortcut to desktop, dbl click this, go to multiplayer, internet, filter, choose ns as the game filter, then just join a game, it will automatically switch your game from HL to ns. Hope that solves your problem

Incase you forgot to check the thing NiKon mentioned, there are a few things to get Ns running on Steam and even working with 3rd party game browsers like HLSW or ASE.

i've tried to reinstall halflife, and steam. But i can't open a new account in steam or delete the one i've made. So i can't fix it can i ?
