<div class="IPBDescription">meow</div> I didn't think we could post non-NS stuff here but I noticed some unrelated posts so... well... um... there you go =P

Anyways, some people think the legs are too long and some don't, it's kinda hard to really make out the figure because the arms are held forward. Anyways, I like it but any comments are welcome.

if her arms are being held forward, they are too long for her body, if they are flat against her sides/chest... you've got legs that are too long...

lol, it's a FOnewearl but I always liked the idea of being a catgirl so I dressed her up with a cat costume and pointy teeth. The ears are just part of being one of her race. I'll Photoshop the legs some time I guess, the posture really doesn't help though because it hides her figure ^^;

I think the elbows should be a bit further up, and the legs a bit shorter, otherwise, it looks nice <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>.

PS: What kind of a game is Phantasy Star?

PSO's kinda weird... think diablo except it's a proper 3rd person view and you actually control your char instead of telling them where to go. The best bit is if your'e good you can dodge all the attacks and stuff oh, and the combat system lets you do little combo things based on timing too... it's different from most other stuff and I was hooked on it for like a year (you know it's bad when a friend catches you in your dressing gown and says he thought you'd moved out 5 days ago or something ^^; )

uuummm... anyways, yeah. the elbows were an accident lol, I tried to move them up but I didn't want to destroy the piccy so in the end I think I just decided I'd photoshop fix them later <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'>
It's really the left elbow that's borked but I'm still not sure about the legs... her hands and the bag cover up where her pelvis ends... but I guess I'll still fix them eventually anyways =s

Agreed... the legs on all characters in the pic are quite over-long. At the most, I'd suggest ending the feet at around the current mid-calf, if not the knees outright (though that COULD be a little short, depending on how the rest was adjusted and the intended age of the character). I'd initially thought the one in the background-left was walking around on three or four-foot tall stilts. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>

As well, I'd take a look at the hands... it might be that they're clasped, but even so they're kind of... small. Very small. Remember, on a relaxed-stance with hands at your sides, the fingertips tend to fall around the mid-thigh.

lol, yeah, I wasn't really focussed on the background characters when I sketched them in, she's meant to be tall but I couldn't be bothered scaling her properly so I just did her off the cuff and she ended up strider legs <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>

I'll comment on a couple of things, before I start, I really like it <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'>

There's nothing wrong with the legs, don't change them!!! She's a female anime character and typically legs are four heads high, which the legs are round-about. I think the problem is with the feet. You can see the top of both feet, making it look as if the perspective is from above, but it is actually from almost front on. Maybe making one flat, or close to flat will help it.

I'd say the waste is too skinny. It's making the top of the legs look too rounded. This is probably more personal taste though.

I'm not sure whether I'll make changes to it or not... I get lazy with pictures once I stop drawing them sometimes but I'll be taking the advice onboard for any future drawings I guess =3

I, personally, have been idly observing this picture for a long while and think it is an absolutly perfect anime-style image.

It just looks "right" to me, regardless of the fact that the girl doesn't have perfect human proportions, she isn't human either. She's a CAT. Thusly, she doesn't need to have exact human proprotions, right?

well she's a Newman but I always thought they were kinda cat-people anyway so yeah I guess ^^
I just remember being really happy when I finished it until someone pointed out her legs were too long lol

Phantasy Star Online is pretty anime-ish so I just drew it to sort of mimic the style a little but with my own touches =3
