Ah, A Very Satisfying Win

Was playing on Hera on FAT's Accidental Bowel Movement. Its not my regular server, but the one I normally play on was dead so I decided to go there. We played one game of eclipse where we were marines and we lost badly, and our comm ( Fergdog ) built Comm Chairs ( like a dozen ) in a vent, prolonging the agony. He eventually got out and let himself be killed. We then went to Hera, and Ferg joined aliens with us. He immediately and without asking laid down sense, and dropped OC's to cover the Hera res nodes,making it impossible to build there until the marines cleared them. He then F4'd and eventually ( I assume after many tries ) joined the marines, I suppose he figured he had sabotaged us. Well, it was a fairly small game ( 4v4 - 5v5 most of the time ) and as aliens we were getting res at a pretty good clip. I think our initial hive was Data, but I cant remember. Either way I started Vent so we could lay down DCs. About the time it was done and our DCs were up, we got Archiving going, and then BAM vent was seiged.
Pretty much the next hour of play was a frantic struggle to keep hives up. As soon as one went up, the other would be torn down. The marines, particularly Fergdog, kept talking about how they were 'owning' us, and how even though Ferg blatantly screwed us at the beginning of the round.
Long story short, we wound up beating the marines handily. And they had level 3 upgrades, JPs, HAs, HMGs, GLs, Shotguns, the works. I died many many deaths ( I admit to being owned several times -- until the very end when I got my movement, and got to play my class -- the Lerk <!--emo&::lerk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/lerk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='lerk.gif'><!--endemo--> ), but it was SO worth it to wind up being victorious. As you can imagine, there was plenty of smack talk from both sides. I took part myself, cause, well, I was pretty mad at Ferg for his lameness. I even had a member of L.A.C. -- whoever they are -- challenge the particulars of my sexual orientation. But, it felt really good to say, "Guys, no matter what else you say, you had it all, and we STILL beat you. Good game. "
Even though it started out as a rant, I have to thank FergDog for the single most satisfying game of NS Ive ever played. Against all odds, our team prevailed.

Btw, I - in no way - condone on DOS'ing/hacking servers in anyway. Not unless if the server is complete and utter shiet.
