<div class="IPBDescription">Being used?</div> Ok, recently I formatted to WinXP and I posted a topic about my Games not running, and I think it's because 24/7 my Computer's Resources are always being used up. Why? Can I check what's taking up all my resources. Now after using my computer for 30 Minutes I can't even play .mp3's without crackling sounds in the Audio.

[EDIT]Also, the "Send" light on my modem's always on.[/EDIT]

    ctrl + alt + delete

    go to processes

then click on "CPU" so the highest usage of CPU is at the top

could be a virus or something, if you havent updated all of the microsoft patches

I would recommend getting an up to date antivirus if you haven't already got one, and a firewall of some sort as well. The Send light being always on seems suspicious to me.

    That's... DLLHOST.EXE

[EDIT]Also, when I stopped this, which took 70-95 of CPU Resources, my "Send" light turned off.[/EDIT]

DLLHOST.EXE is indeed a virus, although its not Blaster. Its a pain in the **** one too, I had to spend like 4 hours at my mom's work getting rid of it. The only way to get rid of it is to do it manually in SAFE MODE... :/
