Note: These are all brand spanking new series that have yet to air, only have 1 or 2 episodes aired or only have a trailor out. Please do NOT discuss old series..... take it elsewhere..... I too can list a lot of series that you probably have never heard of, but they have been airing for quite a while (Example Kaledio Star or Naruto)
Series I am looking forward too:
Full Metal Alchemist - Alchemey, the power to transmute one object into another. As kids Edward and Alphonse learnt of a way to revive their dead mother, unfortunately the laws of Alchemey require an equal amount of 'raw material' to transform into the new form. Edward lost his right leg, and Alphonse his entire body. At the cost of his right arm Edward placed Alphonse's soul in the body of a suit of armour. Their mother? Well... she was just a blob of flesh and organs... the spell had failed.
Skip foward a few years and their adventure begins...
1 episode has aired and it has me hooked.
The character 'Alphonse' in the suit of armour seems to be a very large nod to an old anime series called Patlabor (Which had one of the main mechs named Alphonse)
GUNGRAVE - A completely CG series. Gungrave was originally a game for the PS2, with extremely large guns and lots of violence. The character designer's last project was Hellsing, so it should draw in a good crowd.
F-Zero Falcon Densetsu (F-Zero Falcon Legend) - An anime based on the game... no details other than the title, but the concept alone should be interesting enough to hold my interest...
Gunslinger Girl - Girls with guns. I'm sure the fanboys will be groping all over this one. No preview of episodes out yet, however from the stuff I have seen and heard it will be quite a good series.
Shingetsutan Tsukihime (Lunar Chronicles Moon Princess) - The preview has me hooked. I'm sitting there thinking "Yeah another boring nerd gets the girls series", then all of a sudden he starts murdering people... Did I mention the vampires? Need it... now...
Sakigake!! Cromartie Koukou (Charge to the top! Cromartie High School) - Words cannot describe the insanity of this series... each ep is about 10 minutes long and is filled with stuff like finding out who the strongest person in the class is by putting snails on people's backs... going to class 1-3 to see this "amazing" guy... who says nothing, has a moustache, and wears nothing but pants and suspenders... then going to find a robot...
Ahhh yes, it's been quite a while since I've watched a full on comedy series (All hail Ping Pong Club!)
Read or Die The TV - Waiiiiiiiiiiiii! Remember the old Read or Die OVA? Well, a new 26 part TV series has recently started to air. Rather than follow the exploits of the previous heroine The Paper (AKA Yomiko Readman), we are introduced to 3 brand new female protagonists and they're sisters. Michelle is your ditzy blond, Maggie is the tall silent type and Anita is the shrimpy over-active type who hates books... If you enjoyed the OVA, you will love this. =D
Full Metal Panic Fumoffu - Anybody who watched the old series is probably going to be expecting a lot of action... They will be disappointed, as FMPF is a comedy series utilising characters from the original manga and altering the story line a bit (Instead of working for a secret government agency, Sagara was raised in war torn countries so he can't adjust to normal life) There are quite a few scenes full to the brim with comedy gold.

All those series you have listed (Except for about 3) have been finished for a very long time....
The stuff I have listed have yet to air, have just aired or only have a trailer available.
Yeah, all I can do really is tell you about these series. I can't tell you where to get them due to the forum rules.... ;(

I see... Her name IS Amano Misao... Ara?
Strange crossover ideas aside, Shirase doesn't -seem- to have anything to do with Pretty Sammy at first glance. Basically it's about this genius hacker named Shirase, who does freelance work, not for money, but apparently for cool things like top-of-the-line computer equipment. He happens to live on the same floor as Misao, and has been a good older brother-type figure to her, helping her with homework and school, and stuff like that. So she just wanders over to his apartment and stuff. She says he may be kind of a slob, but he's a really nice guy overall. There's also some hacker in Seattle, doing some sort of work of his own, but as these are only 15-minute episodes, we don't really get into what's going on yet with any of this. ^_^;
So basically we seem to have some strange story about otaku, except there are parts with Misao the cute girl in it. An interesting premise, but I'm not sure how interesting it's going to get. The "hacking" in the first episode consists of a little bunny thing appearing on the screen at a shipping company and changing details of a shipment... Oh well. I think the highlight of the show is Misao's stuffed tamago sushi roll doll, or whatever you want to call it. It rocks! I want one! Best nuigurumi ever~~

It doesn't.....
I've still to see the original full metal panic but now there's a new series out I should really go catch it =3
Is Ghost In the Shell: Standalone Complex still running?
Gungrave - Ok.... so I was wrong by judging the series by the trailer (Complete CG arse) It is still traditional cell-animation, which is good. There is only one way to describe this series, Trigun Vs Hellsing and it is very very very very cool in that respect. That said, there is nothing here that hasn't been done before... and the girl annoys me... Large guns, lots of killing, etc. I will enjoy it, but yeah.. been there. Done that. The guns he uses will no doubt become the subject of many a CS deagle model...
PlanetES - I really like where this series is going to be heading. The concept of the show goes something like this. It is the year 2075, after mankind has started to get a very firm hold on space. So now you have air-travel using orbit capable space-craft (based on NASA scram jet designs I might add), etc, etc ,etc. Now here's the problem, with all the missions up into space there is an immeasurable amount of space debris... and unfortunately the tiniest of tiny screws collides with a passanger craft and it is destroyed...
So new sections are created on space stations all around Earth to collect as much Space Debris as possible. It's low-paying, you get no respect and you get all the eccentric work mates....
Well that's where the series starts, as they say 'first impressions count' and this one certainly left a mark to be sure. I'm also enjoying what little of the soundtrack I have heard. I'm putting this down as my sleeper hit for the season.
It's not fast paced, but it's doing a damn good job holding my attention
Note: The correct name for the series is ÐËÁÍÇÔÅÓ... which translates to plantes (pronounced plan-eh-tess), which translates to greek as 'Wanderers', which was an old greek word for 'Planets'... I think...
Note 2: Astronauts wear diapers in space
Japanese cartoon watching geeks, I salute thee.
..aye. I be drinkin me beer fer ya this moon. I don't watch TV so meh.
Arigatou gozaimasu.
*grin*
Fall premieres and all that? Must be kinda rough keeping up on that sometimes, being overseas.
Well... yeah, basically there are 'seasons' to anime, but like actual TV new shows can pop-up whenever the hell they feel like it.
Peace Maker Kurogane - Ah Studio Gonzo. How I love thee. With their recent efforts on Last Exile, Kaleido Star and Gad Gaurd it's very hard for Gonzo to make a wrong move these days. Peace Maker Kurogane is no exception. PMK is a samurai anime, a young kid named Tetsunosuke wants to join the Shinsengumi, an elite swordsmen group basically, (Yes that would be the same Shinsengumi Hajime Saito was a part of in Rurouni Kenshin. Leader of the 2nd squad I believe.) to avenge the death of someone very close to him.
Basically the whole first ep deals with Tetsunosuke's struggle to try and get into the Shinsengumi. He gets his arse handed to him by one of the squad leaders, but is undiscouraged in his persistance to join.
Right at the end there is a scene where another squad leader takes out a group of swordsmen intent on assisinating him. Superb animation here.
Though it will probably not be the same epic Kenshin was, PMK is sure to impress a lot of fans and become quite the popular series.
Did I mention the ending song is also quite cool? Wish I had the lyrics to it... "Are you feeling chibi?"
Gunslinger Girl - I am DREADING how popular this series is going to be.... simply dreading it. It is essentially Noir done with prepubescent girls.... I personally have had enough of the whole 'emotional ragdoll' bit... in the first episode alone the lead girl gets shot in the arm and doesn't even cry... SHE'S LIKE TEN YEARS OLD FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. "Trained since birth" doesn't even cut it here.... Urgh.. simply dreading it... then after the fanboys have had their way with this series, the gun nuts are going to be in on it.... "Did you see how she used that gun" "Yeah I liked that gun, but it wasn't modelled accurately!"
Dreading. It.
I'm sorry, but this show does absolutely nothing for me....
I think I might have a watch of Avenger and Full Moon Story - Tsukihime next.....
Anime banzai!
The other anime was Bottle Fairy. I have no idea how old this is, but it looked quite recent. It's short, about 10-12 minutes per episode, but it's cute as hell. It's about 4 fairies in bottles living in the house of a student. While he's out they do cute little things with magic. It's all rather cute really, heh.
oo00oo. They've just started showing Gad Guard at the anime thingy I go to, and I've seen an episode of Last Exhile. Both very good stuff!
Bottle Fairy is part of the new season.
I am steering clear of it. Just not my style... I don't do cute. ;o
argh, So..., what did you think of FMA Inf?

First page.
And if it sticks fairly close to the manga, I will be very very very happy.
God, when will Bleach make it into anime format!!~~~~~~~~~~~

Hmm, is Di Gi Charat-nyo part of the new season? Cause that's exceptionally good and each episode is now about the standard anime length (22-24 minutes) and puchiko is STILL cute as hell.

Digi Charat Nyo is not part of the new season. Digi Charat is the only series I can enjoy for the cute levels... because it's not really cute sappy stuff, but slapstick humour.
Anyways.... more reviews!
Avenger - A new series made in conjunction with Production I.G. and a new production company, Beetrain. So far I've watched the first 2 eps... and... well.. not enjoying it. The character designs (The eyes really) and the rate at which the story develops is something reminiscent of .hack//SIGN and this annoys me. It disappoints me that I.G. have had a hand in this because I usually enjoy the shows they produce.... but I digress.
Avenger's story revolves in a desolate wasteland. Dome cities have been set up and each dome fights over the meager rations they are provided. Because of all the fighting, robotic dolls have been created to take the place of the children that aren't being born. Then you have Lady Leila who's obviously ticked off with something, then a generic fight breaks out and it's all very ho-hum. 1 thumb down for being such a boring series, 2 thumbs down to Production I.G. for touching it....
Sakikage! Cromatie Koukou (Charge! Cromatie High) - The 2nd series Production I.G. have produced for the new season. Cromatie High is based on a gag-manga... a very very very very weird and out there gag-manga. Put it this way... a character drops his pencil on the floor while sitting at his desk. The guy sitting in front of him picks it up and eats it. Rather than get angry about it, he opens up his pencil case and drops a gaint pile of pencils on his desk. The other guy picks them up in a big pile and forces it into his mouth....
Yes... a very weird series... weird slapstick humour is abound everywhere. Which is made even more humorous by the fact everyone has serious expressions constantly....
Each ep runs about 10 min long and I can't wait for more.
*opens door*
*gorilla sitting at table*
"The f*** is this?"
I'm going to watch the first ep of Shengetsutan Tsukihime (Full Moon Story Moon Princess) right now. So I'll post a review in about 30 minutes or so....
Cut forward 8 years and Shiki has been living with his Uncle and Auntie since the accident, but now that his parents have died he is moving back in with his older sister. Strange news reports have been following around surrounding the recent attacks that have left several people dead with teeth marks in their necks, obviously the media is playing the whole Vampire bit. So Shiki goes to school and meets up with old friends and one he can't quite remember... but oh well... everyone else seems to know Ciel-sempai quite well.... it must be his imagination playing tricks on him.
Shiki leaves school early because he is quite frail, from the accident, and on his way home murders somebody.
Yup. Just gets the sudden urge to murder somebody in the park with his knife. He then collapses in a heap...
...only to wake up at his Sister's place, which just so happens to be a huge manor....
Well... that's the first part of it. Don't wanna give too much away.
There is quite a lot of foreboding stuff happening throughout the whole of the first episode and it's doing a really good job of holding my interest. Excellent music, animation and plot are all here in abundance.
It's kinda like Resident Evil.... almost.... with the vampires... but yeah... in a city with a lot of people and not so enclosed... *scratches head*
I NEED THE LAST 11 EPS NOW!
Sometimes I hate being a poor college student with no idea how to "acquire" anime.
