From the *description* of this Mapping Forum:<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td><b>Quote</b> </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE"><!--QuoteEBegin-->"This forum is for mappers interested in making maps for Natural Selection. Ask the creators questions about custom entities and request new features. Give early feedback on other's maps, collaborate on group efforts. <b>If you have Worldcraft questions, try the excellent HL-ERC forums instead.</b>"<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

That said, head over to <a href="http://www.valve-erc.com" target="_blank">Valve ERC</a>.  They've got compile tools (Zoner's) as well as tons of tutorials to get you started.

A marine is the same size as the entity "info_playerstart".  Use that for scale.  Valve-ERC also has some handy porportion listings, though not all of them (notably movement-related measurements) are accurate in NS.
