    Yes, that is exactly what he was saying, and exactly where I (and I think most of the rest of us) disagree with him. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
    First off all I'm Lost, I don't think he ever ACTUALLY compared a 1 hive lockdown to losing a CC and IP(s). I mean, those two situations are entirely unlike each other.

    Second of all, Cwxf, could you point out where he says this, or try to show me at least. Just saying that "this is exactly what he was saying" does not prove he said it. Please show me where he said this, please?

    Cold-Nite, there is a lot of stuff posted, including a 5000 word post, by Necrosis, along with many other long posts. I know it is a lot of work to read through it (I don't know if anyone read everything that was said), but it is also a lot of work for us to try to go back and quote specific things to present clear ideas, when our ideas are based on many posts put together. We would practically have to reread the thread to find the appropriate things to quote. If you want to understand everyone's point of view, you really are going to have to read the whole thread.

I was thinking... if only one Onos can fit in this corridor, then anything behind would be pretty safe, right?

    How many adrenaline gorges using healspray on a single onos would it take to keep that onos at max health while it took grenades and hmgs to the face? (They do have to reload every once in a while don't forget) I don't think it would take more than 5, would it? Maybe make that last gorge a lerk using umbra instead? Just a maybe... would it work? If you're on a pub, maybe the marines wouldn't get the bright idea to shoot the gorges behind the onos until it was too late.

    Well, any good way to break this siege takes a level of teamwork you usually don't see on pubs, especially if you have a bunch of aliens that are already bored and frustrated. I just know it urks me when somebody responds to a concern like this with "Your problem is you suck! Next!" <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
    Wouldn't work. Lv. 3 Grenades own gorges.

    Look gents, seriously, honestly, what we're dancing around here is two very different concepts of balance, which neither of us will impress upon the other.

    Much like the epic thread between myself and Niaccurshi - where we differed on our base definition of the lerks role.

    I believe we are at the same situation here.

    <!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->
    We believe that marines have a good chance of successfully relocating to a spot like this against alien resistance, eventually getting to the point where attacking simply gives the marines rfk. You believe that the marines have to have a noticeably better team to realistically pull this off.
    <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    No, rather I believe that aliens should not quit in such a scenario where the game is at stake. I agree wholly with the rest of your post though.

    Cold nite - man, seriously, don't try to do it, because it'll only pickle your onion. I try rereading my 5000 word posts and it does me no good either <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    All credit where its due - for the past few posts only one of us has suggested the "agree to disagree" solution. IMHO this is probably the only way, since we differ so much in our interpretation of the terms used. A forum just isn't adequate for such a debate, and it would have to be in a proper balance thread in order to thrash it out.

    I'm happy to leave it here. I think we've explored the topic as much as we can. If anyone wants to continue on, I'll do my best to reply, but TBH its getting to be a dead horse, isnt it?

    Good effort on all posters for making contributions, at the very least perhaps the debate has sparked thoughts in the minds of others.
