Phantom...
<div class="IPBDescription">...Wow it really must exist *cough*...</div> <img src='http://www.phantom.net/images2/21.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
As you can see here the phantom is indeed a reality. The picture does indeed show a working phantom not the DC version of Quake 3 or perhaps a PC linked up to a tv monitor, thats why it's being controled using a Logitec keyboard.
It's obvious that if you want to show off the power of the new machine you use a game from 3+ years ago.

I for one can hardly wait.....

Apparently I'm the only one here who knows that the Phantom was not designed for first-part titles as much as it was designed to be a "PC-in-a-box." What I'm essentially saying is that the main "selling" point of the phantom is the ability to play games from any CD without having to install anything to the actual system (i.e. that quake screen is running off the original Quake 3 Arena CD....not a special proprietary form of Phantom media or anything like that)
What I'm saying is that this screenshot simply establishes (if you believe it) that the Phantom is capable of playing such PC games as Quake 3. *phew*
a.) It's going to be all it's cracked up to be.
b.) It's going to be successful.
c.) It's going to topple any of the major three consoles in anyway whatsoever.
They have released nothing to put ANY faith in me at all regarding this console, every major gaming magazine in website that I have ever read handles like console as if it is a joke (hell, I laugh everytime I read about it). A bunch of buzzwords aren't going to sell a console, these people are going to have to come up with some good stuff, or on release day people won't touch it with a 10 foot pole, and possibly not even with a 20 foot pole. I know I won't.
*Edit*
Also notice theres no glare on the TV.
For example...
<a href='http://www.phantom.net/images2/2.jpg' target='_blank'>The production of the prototypes.</a>
They appears to be PC cases that are glued together. (In someones garage from the look of the tyres around the place.)
<a href='http://www.phantom.net/forum/uploads/post-4-1065603995.jpg' target='_blank'>The phantom joypad</a>
Which was pointed out looks remarkably like this Logitec one

They just give the impression of a really amaturish operation. Like comparing the dozens of Mods that never get past the concept art stage to a retail game like UT.
Oh and by the way Dubbilex...

Is obviously not true. The Phantom has no CD/DVD rom drive of any kind, infact thats one of the major selling points. All the games and content are to be streamed to the box and stored on a 100Gb HDD on a pay to play basis kind of like steam.

lol the kid has a wendys shirt...
Where is the power button?
What is that cord that goes behind the drums?
Why is this being shown in a living room? Wouldn't this be best in an office?
