- Newbies come and test j00r skillz0rz
Hmm a week to model, (also seeing that its a newbie comp we arent skinning/animating/meshing), i think we will start on monday, starting with the knife(no hands). The next weapon will be announced to model when everyone has been judged apon. We will model it by weapon "type", also the model does NOT have to be a knife, you could model anything for the knife replacement, eg: "A large brick" or "A steel bar" or something like that, you can make the asked weapon though if you wish.
OK, no more entrys now. You may start modelling your knife replacment and it will be due on friday (im judging time by GMT btw) then we will be modelling a lmg replacement the monday after that and will be due on friday then a pistol will be asked to be modelled on the monday after that then will be due on friday ect....ect.... you will be judged out of 10 each time, the competetor with the highest score wins simple eh?
The current model is announced here: HANDGUN
The people contending would have to be fairly new to modelling, no Wolfs or Burncycles or anyother "elite" modellers. You would have to have been modelling a max of 2months.
If you dont have any software to do this with you can use Gmax3d or MilkShape 3d, I recommend using MilkShape seeing that its simpler and easier to use, you can also get tutorials from the milkShape3d website.
The model needs to be your OWN work, no hacks, no stealing.
Also onced finished a model, wait for the deadline which is a week from when it started to post pics and also submit your .gmax or .ms3d file to a judge.
