There is a lot of 56k`ers out there, like me, and i love Natural Selection <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
i wont be able to play anything, even counterstrike has it which i also like quite a lot.
if this steam rubbish does come out could some1 giive me a list of all NS v 2.0 servers?

    If this 'steam rubbish' comes out (which it will) then you won't be playing any online games without it... no WON = no authentication or master servers = no online play.

    I'm pretty sure I've seen one or two 56kers say steam doesn't seem to effect them much at all once they set it up to never auto-update and stuff so I'm not sure being 56k is a totally valid reason to hate steam <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    First off, if you've got a dislike for Steam, the forums for one particular mod are not the place to voice your concerns.
    Secondly, 56k users should love Steam. After a reasonably-fast BitTorrent download of enough cache files to start, all you'll need to worry about are streaming updates, which by definition are smaller than the 15-to-100+ MB downloads you've had to wait in line for on sites like FilePlanet, FileShack, etc.
    Thirdly, <span style='color:orange'>*locked*</span>. Enough with the Steam-bashing, we're already seeing vast improvements since the initial release of it.
