I have answered this problem so many times, in this thread alone. You need to start reading documentation, it says how to fix your problem on the page you d/l BC from!
Anyhow, your answer is in this post <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=50171&view=findpost&p=1292712' target='_blank'>here</a>
you know this batch compiler is causing major problems....is there a way just to use hammer to compile it?! its so easy even a nubbie nub nubber can get it.
Hello yallz i came here to grab the stuff i needed is this upto date i knoticed that 3/4 of the links the the apps are down ive found them all but the merls map back up i would love to have that again used in making cs maps well hope some one replys tia -trigger911
Ok, I've got the Hammer Editor set up, but I'm having a little trouble with the batch compiler. When you said "go to options --> setup --> paths" I noticed that I don't have a paths button, but I have "stage paths" button. I have most of the things you said under stage paths, but a few are missing, like MPA and that Opt thing. Do I have the wrong version?
6) Close BC, the compile options themselves will be covered in another tutorial.
.... <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd--> so... when's that tutorial coming? I had a few problems with the path-setuo in BC.. Couldn't find .exe for Backup (prolly 'cause the link is dead and i couldn't find it anyway), no exe for Opt_EntData and no .exe for RESGen.... I'm using the Zoners Tools Advanced-specifikation...
Edit: Found the mapbackup thanks to TTribaLL =) <a href='http://files.valve-erc.com/merl/mapbackup.zip' target='_blank'>http://files.valve-erc.com/merl/mapbackup.zip</a>

Nem's Batch Compiler has also moved. It is found here now: <a href="http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?p=3" target="_blank">http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?p=3</a>

Merl's backup util link is down at VERC. Can someone upload it to a free storage site so I can get it please? Thanks. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/nerd-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::nerdy::" border="0" alt="nerd-fix.gif" />
I'm hosting XP Cagey's Tools, got p13 and p15, dowload them here: <a href="http://www.shentrax.net/forum/dload.php" target="_blank">http://www.shentrax.net/forum/dload.php</a>
Requesting a bumpage on this topic... can someone update the guide =)?
Yeah, I know, I'm lazy to google. Actually I did google, and found a hl tool package of 300 mb... dling it... but c'mon, just for 1 simple silly program?
Also the map specfiles is now specifications in batchcompiler..
also, the option Zoner's Custom <bla bla> is nowhere, the most relevant is zoners advanced
Is it possible to use Hammer from Steam's SourceSDK kit? And just configure it for half-life (if possible)? I wanted to see before I download everything from the older Worldcraft stuff.

Haven't used hl2 hammer for hl1 mapping myself, but I hear it is possible. All you need is the config files and following a hl1 setup tutorial. Because of all that Jazz I'm still using hammer 3.5 for hl1/ns mapping
Worldcraft is ancient <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />, it has migrated to Hammer 3.4 or 3.5 and of course the hl2 hammer (4.0?)

one last thing, the map backup utility links are ALL down because VERC is down. Please rehost at filefront if you have them.

"zoners advanced" is the correct spec file (and it comes with BC now).
The creator of that post seems to be MIA so a mod probably has to update it, or someone has to start a new one.
