Nope, although it seems like you can change the origins, it actually doesn't affect the model. That feature is still b0rked. Just edit the .qc, it's easier anyway <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    *bump*

Brig, are you ever gonna finish the model?
*not intending to offend or anything, just so sexy...must have complete...*

    Patience young grasshopper... patience

Like he said, he's busy. He'll finish it soon enough, so go and play with yourself (on lan, of course .... <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> ) until he's done.

You *could* also just use the beta version he's sent out until he releases the final one. Sure the only model you'll have is the V_ model, but it's better than nothing.

Hey wolf, do you have an ETA on this model? I'm using your beta version of it which only contains the v_model and I must say it looks fantastic. One of your best gun models that i've seen.

    *patiently waiting release*

    I hope I don't sound rude,
But, I was wondering about the ETR (Estimated Time of Release)

Nice model. But there is a small problem both in preview and in game. I'm not sure if it's my video card or what but the side of it blurs in game.

Yah, i've noticed that problem before. The verticle lines seam to go wierd and turn into horizontal lines. And hey TheGuy, if you are the person that i'm thinking of who plays on Voogru.

I hope when you say in-game, you don't mean in-hlmv. HLMV has a problem with blurring textures sometimes. Your screenshot is in hlmv.
  • BrigadierWolfBrigadierWolf Join Date: 2003-05-30 Member: 16876Members, Contributor
It could just be a problem with the video settings... I run NS in OpenGL mode and 1024x768 res, and I havent noticed anything like that...Check your video settings.. you can probably eliminate the problem by changing your resolution.

No...I first noticed that In-Game, on ns_hera if I recall...I think it might be related to OpenGL's tendancy to anti-alias textures...

Nah, it's on Radeon's as well.

Some really high detail weapons do this as well, I think it happens when you have too much detail on a small area..

It's the same effect that striped wallpaper will do to your eyes. The lines start merging and distorting in your mind... soo... yeah...

oh and the antialiasing thing causes it too.

It's a great model regardless. Besides, you should be concentrating on what's in front of the gun, not what's on it <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

Bah! Just blame OpenGL. It interprets the lines as flaws in the texture and tries to smooth them out in your view.
