um.. are you using hammer? if so i dont remember being able to scroll during compiling. the results are in the same folder as your .rmf called <your_map>.log will have all teh stuff you are looking for
Don't touch the compile screen at all while it's compiling, it's very fragile <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
You cant unfortunatly. I find it is best to do your compiles over night. This way you don't spend hours watching the screen, waiting for it to update to the next step of vis and worrying that it has frozen when it doesn't...
(btw, I'm assuming you are using worldcraft/hammer)
if you use -estimate on the compile tools you can see if it's doing something or not <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
True, but I don't like using -estimate. It cluters up the compile log and makes you have to sift through more text to find an error. In general, if the mouse is responding, then the compile is working.
Thx and all. But I am talking about the ms-dos prompt window. I am using the Batch Compiler. I think it is some windows setting but I don't know which one. Things like Hl-Fix are not showing in my .log file
Nm I guess you can't (searched google) I swear I saw it somewhere. Anyone know how to make hl-fix to output a log.
I don't think it's possible to make it output a log file... you could try just running HLFix without any other programs if you want to see what it is saying.
