Will NS Combat use resource towers and how? I saw one in a picture for the maps using ns2.wad.
Will NS Combat use IPs or do marines just spawn

and also a simple map question,
How do you let aliens spawn? Do you just put a hive entity down or do you also put something else?
Edit- Also what is ironman mode

    First:
    for questions regarding NS2.1 and/or NS:Comabat please join #nsquestions on gamesnet. Most the time some Playtesters, Vetarans or even Developers are there and try to answer your questions.

    Second:

    - Marines and Aliens just spawn. All at the same time (Wave-Spawning).
    There are no IPs

    - Combat does not use Resource Towers.
    If you see a res node in a combat map, it's for optical reasons only right now.

    - To spawn Aliens (and Marines on round start) you need to place info_teamstart entities.
    That's covered in the Mapping Guidelines.

    Note: NS:Combat still is in a phase where a lot of things can and will change.
    There may even be the possibility of custom map goals, making maps possible, on wich you have to capture different locations, survive for a special time, escape, whatever you can think of... But this is not for sure yet.
    It's features that MIGHT get into NS:C sooner or later or never.
    All the information and answeres given to your questions will be related to the CURRENT builds we're testing... things may however change.
