im atm trying to convert a g36c, but not this one.

It makes sure the textures aren't cropped to the size of the mesh. Sometimes you'll see a great model, export its skins, and they'll be odd numbers, like 253x508 instead of 256x512 [at which they were originally made, for example]. That's because compilers will actually cut off pixels that aren't -inside- the mesh [which I find stupid]. If you then try to import a skin that's 256x512, it'll tell you the skin's the wrong size and you'll have to resize it to fit the cut-up one that the MDL file contains, which is ridiculous. $cliptotextures prevents the compiler from slicing off the edges of the textures.

For reference, in case anybody can't tell the difference: the mesh is the coordinate data that tells the 3D model where to get its texture on a 2D plane, which is the skin. The skin is the 2D graphic that makes the 3D model look like something other than funny white block.

If that's not simple enough, think of the 3D model as a plaster sculpture. The mesh is the information you roll through your mind when deciding where to put the paint on the sculpture [red paint on lips, yellow paint on hair, blue paint on jeans, et cetera--over-simplified]. The skin is the paint you put on the sculpture.

the same applies for the k and e versions... i suggest u get gas rather than battery, it lasts longer and the diff in velocity stops jamming. mind u i bought a gr8 g33a1 for only £130 and it pwns
