I had to buy it, only becasue it came out on my birthday....

Question, in the first movie, Neos apartment number is 101...
In the second movie, when they go to see the french guy and they get off the elevator, behind them is a big neon 101 sign...

    in binary, 101 = 5

anybody else see this? (notes conversation with architect in which he talks about the 6th one)

also, at the begining, agent smiths car has the license plate IS 5416, and Isaiah 54:16 says
"See, it is I who created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to work havoc;"

trivia for those who didn't know

I'd rather reinstall and update Steam 12 times on a 286 over a 28k modem then watch that horrid crap again.

Or lack therof? What was so great about M:R?

The horrible script? The lousy plot that revealed NOTHING we didn't know about the matrix? The obviously coreographed, very artificial looking kung fu? The incredibly obvious use of a wire team in the entire movie? The fights between an invincible Neo and an invincible Agent Smith? Maybe it was the excellent acting of Keanu Reaves.

    !!!

I got it! It was the 30 minutes spent chatting with some old turd in a chair!

    I poooorchsd it.

And I must say, it has one of the better videos for the menu system. The music and the video, perfectly intertwined, matching the beats with the fights. Cool.

Yea, I bought the soundtrack cd set (2 disks of music awesomeness) shortly after seeing the movie.

"Burly Brawl" by Don Davis and Juno Reactor is one of my favs cause its the song from the fight scene between Neo and the lots and lots of Agent Smiths, and "Chateau" by Rob Dougan is filled with awesomeness.

Hhmmm... I think I need a replacement word for 'awesomeness'...

<---Die hard Matrix fan. Planning on seeing a midnight showing, a mid-day showing and an evening showing, in one day.

My copy of Reloaded should arrive by Saturday hopefully.

Basic Matrix Review (the viewing of The Matrix, the Animatrix and The Matrix Reloaded) shall commence Tues. Nov 4th

Best song is still Overseer - Supermoves.

No wonder the trailer was so well done, IT WAS THE ONLY MATRIX FOOTAGE THAT INCORPORATED THE SONG. (excluding Animatrix)

I liked the Animatrix slightly more than Matrix Reloaded.

    It had much more style.

Totally. I only watched the movie this week, wasn't too impressed, but i've had the OST for some time now. I've loved Juno Reactor for a while now, but that song is clearly one of their best.

Keep hating hater. You fall into the category of people who didn't like Reloaded because part one had better writing, if you don't know why that's funny it further proves my point.

yes, and look at how good people like N'Sync and B. Spears dance.

The only choreographers i'd trust are either Asian (DDR) or Hispanic (now they got some dancing moves) or Black/African (They got rhythm) or even Jamaican's (Jah man, go with the flow)

Yes sorry Matrix Reloaded sucked, they just hyped it up everyone just thought 'MY GOD THE MATRIX, IT HAS TO BE GOOD'
I don't like this figuring **** out idea, it's not a book I dont like reading between the lines of a movie. When The Matrix was over you knew exactly what was going on, now it's all so unclear ohh and the Burly Brawl scene really solved nothing and was there to waste time and attract people to see the movie.

    Paragraphs are your friend.

I don't like it when I can't interpret a movie. You're just there for the pure action of the movie and don't like to put any thought in to it? What's the point of watching it then? To have your fight-scene craving satsified?

Oh, and the best song on the soundtrack is by far Calm Like a Bomb by Rage.

Compare the wire scenes to the ones in Matrix 1. Let's see, most obviously that stupid-**** fight in the grand staircase with all the weaponry (BTW: If Neo can stop bullets, why the hell can't he stop a god damn sword in mid air? Is there some property to kinetic energy that a sword has that bullets don't?). My favorite is when one of the guys has a big polearm and doesn't do a fancy jump flip up the stairs but just sort of hovers up the staircase. He doesn't even look like he TRIED. (You can see this in the trailer).

Furthermore, every scene involving wires looked like they were too tight: instead of performing a backflip to land on a second story banister, neo just kinda floats up there backwards and lightly touches the floor. It looked like it was shot underwater.

    Okay Duff:

In matrix 1 we learn that the mind and body are seperated in the matrix. Severing the connection kills both. Thusly you can't just turn off the matrix and wake everyone up. In matrix reloaded we're told the exact same thing, except this time around it takes about 15 minutes to get to the point.

In matrix 1 we learn that Neo can manipulate the matrix and perform Jesus-feats. Thusly when Trinity is killed in Reloaded, it wasn't much of a surprise that he ressurects her.

Throughout most of matrix 1, we're under the IMPRESSION that neo must still rely on the fact that he's only human, but can manipulate the matrix under dire circumstances. In reloaded, Neo is 100% invincible, invulnerable, and unstoppable. What was the POINT of the kung fu scenes? Is he going to die? He can't die! Captured? He'll just fly away!

In matrix 1 the oracle is completely wrong about Neo being 'the one'. Why would I give a crap what she has to say the second time around?

I must say the Keymaker was an interesting idea. It was a bit like having the encryption key to all the ports in the matrix. The 'infiltration' and takeover and systematic shutdown of the power grid was also pretty neato, complete with the twist that they all get KILLED.

Now one thing that totally ruins the movie: You have to keep in mind that Neo is a glitch in the matrix: He's a virus, more or less, that is corrupting and changing whatever he wants, twisting the matrix around and through him. He' can manipulate the matrix to perform how he wants whenever he wants. Yet now it's stupid. If he can manipulate the matrix, why the hell didn't he just delete Agent Smith? He can stop bullets with his mind, but he can't stop a god damn door from closing?

    1st off: Its a movie.

2nd off: Its an action movie.

    3rd off: Its the Matrix.

    4th off: Neo is Godlike.

What can we conclude from all this?

The action dosent have to make sense.

The best action flicks are the ones that do what you know is impossible. Kill Bill? Once Upon a Time in Mexico? They too occasionally threw out the laws of physics, and were all the better for it.
