i keep getting this error, need to fix
yea, im a noob mapper and i have worked on my map for the past month or so. I finally got it compiled but i can't play it for i always get Bad Surfuce Extents 224/2160 and i don't neccesarily no what to do! I checked in Zoner's Half Life Tool Help and it said that "a bad surfuce extent is when you have an extremely large face (usually 10, mostly excedding 100) mostly this is found under Check For Problems but very rarely it is not" and that's basically what it explains!

i need help to know how to fix this and actually know what it means so i can finally play my map! YAY!

Hit "Map -> Check for problems..." or Alt-P and then click on the error and click "fix"

yea, as much as i would like it to be that simple, it is not! it does not even appear in the CHeck For Problems at all. It says my map is completly problem free and this Bad Surfuce Extents only appear when i am trying to play my map! As the map is loading and puts in a listen server, it makes a warning sound and then says "Bad Surfuce Extents 224/2160"

So in other words, i have to find this face manually it seems. Is there maybe an easier way? Alt-P is not working so that's out of the question.

Have you tried running it through HLFix?

Check if any of your faces have a texture scale that is tiny (like 0.05 or so) or huge (>20).

I'm pretty sure that's the cause of this one.
