Will Ns Ever Be Open Source?

<div class="IPBDescription">Curiosity=killed teh c4t</div> While I was fiddling with my NS server, trying to get the damn thing to work correctly, I suddenly realized that when I had a CS server running from the same machine, it was working, and ever since I installed the NS server, it's been crashing on shut down. Since I run it on Linux, I figure that it would probably help if I could make my own compile of the software.
Then, that sparked the question, "Will Natural Selection ever have its source code released?" I'm just curious, because really, it wouldn't hurt the development if it were released under a strict license. I don't think that anyone would try to sell the source code to a business, either, because people would eventually find out, and I would think that people would support Flayra as opposed to someone trying to resell it.
Just curious, especially because NS=teh win, and if source code was released, people might find solutions to different exploits. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

I hope it doesn't go retail... I already donated <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
You helped the developer keep up his steam, that's all.
Or do you? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
I already imagine the "Mini exotic NS releases" with dumb changes or no balance...

Better don't release it <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
For games that don't have competitive multiplayer, or are no longer producing wealth, or there's about to be a sequel released, are the only ones that really make sense to put out open source (or even just release the game for free, if not the code). It's great and applaudable when they do, too! NS, however, doesn't fit in.
