Just Got My 5.1 Dolby Headset

But a problem and need help!
Well, after getting scared of the huge amount of wires it had. I noticed it needed 4 ports on my soundcard, "I don't have 4 ports, I have 3," I thought. So I went and had a look, and sure enough, 3 ports (green, blue and pink)!!!

Gahhh, so I plugged in what I could and got blown away with the subwoofer vibrating in my ears Problem is, I can't use them properly, I have to go without front, rear or centre/subwoofer... So I need a good 5.1 soundcard. I have my eye on a Sound Blaster? Live!? 5.1 Digital, which is quite cheap. Could somebody please figure out what I'm chatting about here and help me please:

My headset has a wire for rear, front and centre/subwoofer (green, red and blue leads), there is also the microphone (pink lead.) Would the card I mentioned be able to support this?

Thanks for your help.

wait, 5.1 HEADSET? like headphones? (like not speakers?) you got me confuzeled, you can do that?

well, yah check to see if your set up has a digital in plug, this is often the best way to go for advanced audio (forinstance my SBLive card had a jack that takes 4.1 chanels out in digital form and then my creative speakers can convert that back )

A 5.1 headset basically has more than just 2 speakers: its got 10, AND a subwoofer, placed where they should to get optimum sound.

    Nice speakers man.

I've been looking into getting a decent set of PC speakers (prolly got a limit of about $100)... But I'm an audio nublet. Anyone got any advice? Like what the heck EAX audio is, and whats the purpose of four speakers if its not 5.1 surround?
