Direct X 9 Install Error

<div class="IPBDescription">wont let me install</div> ok im tryin to install freelancer...and i need direct x 9 installed....so it starts installing then comes up and says.." is not a registerd windows logo....will not be installed" what can i do?

Er... are you on a h4x0r3d version of windows or something? And if not try logging into an administrator account if youre not already in one.

I do not know of this error but try reinstalling ur video drivers.If that doesnt work backup/reformat.
Again are u using a h4x0rd version of XP?
Do you have sp1?

Are you installing via the Freelancer installation program? I tried installing Enter The Matrix, and it required DirectX 9. I installed it via the Matrix installation program, and it locked up. However, the next time I installed it seperately, and both DirectX 9 and Enter The Matrix installed fine.
