Crashage
<div class="IPBDescription">Lots of crashage</div> You've all been there, you're playing an awesome game of NS, or working on a really important piece of work, when all of a sudden you realise that nothing happens when you move the mouse. Congratulations, your computer has just crashed.
Lately, i've been noticing my computer crashing a LOT. Like, once every half-an-hour. I'm pretty sure it's just overheating, as these crashes become more common the more I play, but still, surely it shouldn't be happening as much as it seems to be?
My computer has been running for a year now, so it is fair to say that some amount of crap has built up, despite my attempts to delete games when i'm done with them.
If the crashing IS to do with overheating, it's probably due to my new video card. It has a fan of it's own, yet it still seems to be crashing more than my old card did.
So, ye masters of all things computery, what can I do to reduce crashage? I'm going to uninstall some crap from my HD and i've already done an ad-aware check and a virus scan. I COULD do a complete re-format if you think that really would help, but I'd rather not.
*ediy*Also, what would physically removing the side of my case do? Logically it would help it keep cool, but apparently there's some kind of Heisenthingy principle which means that taking the case off would make cooling WORSE.*edit*

Well it seems to be on and off. It can be crashing every 30 seconds and I can leave it for two hours and it will still be crashing when I come back, but if I come back tomorrow it will work fine.
Methinks a format is in order
IT could be your having power supply shortages and it's crashing because of that.
