I removed the acid spitter, modified the back, added some spikes and blablabla you see the pictures^^

Some people told me it looked like a devil ingame (one went AAAAAAAAAAH!!!!! screaming into my ear via voicecomm), that's why it's called like this^^

    Nope I can not decompile the onos v_model, because the aniamtion names contain ">", and I suck at hex editing.

    I like it. I plan to do the fade-nos v weapons AFTER the SC ones, but I might do the v weapons for this.

    Any chance of you taking the FADE v weapons and skinning/modelling them to match? I can animate them for you after that - bear in mind even if you sat and hexed the onos anims, half of them don't play ingame..... And for that matter, hexing them will make no difference since you're using a completely new model - and names are irrelevant since HL just goes by their ORDER.

    I know which Onos anims work, which don't, and by the time you've released this I'll have 2 onos v weapons under my belt. I'd be happy to do ones for this IF you've got the fade arms for me to anim.



    What are you planning for DEVOUR? Bear in mind that since the fadenos has an UPPER and LOWER body, all its thirdperson attack animations should theoretically play. Gore could be claws, stomp could be a swipe, charge is identical to gore...... so devour can be anything you want. Perhaps something with the spiky chest? If you can make a model for that which fits between the fade arms, I'll anim the lot for you.

    Problem then is how do you match the range of devour? You can be some way away and still vacuum people. Second, since this devour anim will play..... why not make it something bonechilling to see?


    I'd a nice idea for a devour, but the problem is it'd play on every attempt, AFAIK. So thats bad. So I'm racking my brain for something decently ranged yet terrifying to see.

    Chest opening seems the wisest bit to use.... perhaps big long tentacles to vacuum up a rine? Or like a starfish, where the stomach goes out of the body? Ideas, ideas.

    ok sometimes i get scared in NS or spooked cuz ill turn around and boom im devoured or something.

    But that would scare the **** out of me with 3 of those storming my beautiful base. Nice.

    Yes this is glow, I just have to find a more bright tone. I think I'll model you the fade arms to match this, no problem. For the devour anim make the blades move to front, opening, then suddenly closing and pulling to the body, so like "catching" the rine.

    For those who want to make something easy for this model: This is the glowtexure. Feel free to change the colour tone. If you provide me these bmps I'll incorporate them in the model. Ingame there will then be Oni with a different glowing colour ^^ (like some Oni's eyes glow red, some's green..... be creative ^^)

    That actually looks like my Fade-Nos 1.1, just my hack off Maus's original (which if he's reading this, I hope he's still working on Mk.II <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> ).

    But man, you have officially made it bada**. Great job and I'd definitely be interested in any playtesting you might want done.

    I still think you should abuse the ONLY benefit the onos v models have - a perfect devour anim. No other anim works properly.

    Well, since I'm doing the Ultralisk, Muta, and tinkering with the Hydra....




    As a shortcut though, I might do this "side by side" with the Ultralisk, so that I get all the onos shiznit out of the way at once. So, working to the same timescale, perhaps a week? Less probably, since it's effectively just moving around the fade anims.

    I just started on the v anims some minutes ago. If I'm in a good mood I might finish it today. I decided to do it myself because in milkshape I can make complete new anims, different from the fade ones. But thx Necro!

    Can you fix the origin problem with the 1.1 <span style='color:red'>fade</span>nos?     Anyway. Animations are done, all paly ingame. Devour looks a bit unfamilar but I did it to give you the same aming help the horn gave you. Jaeger, gimme your email, there's some stuff to test for ya waiting ^^
