Just in time for Halloween!
Since it's almost Halloween, I thought I'd make a topic on what movie scared you the most or what you think the scarriest movie of all time is.....

Candyman scared me the most....I remember crying thinking he was after me....I was 8.

I rarely see movies that creep me out, but The Fly 2 certainly did the job. Seeing acid melt someone's face off = .

    Ghost Ship.

Seriously, just thinking of that utter dross makes my eyeballs shake with furious contempt.

Halloween... I was 6 or 8 or something I think.
My parents went out leaving me for a small while and the lights were out.
By the time they came back they found me hiding behind the sofa but still watching screaming at them desperately to turn it off. I was so scared but I couldn't stop watching @.@

Eventhough lots of people thought The Ring was stupid, watching it at 1 a.m. in the morning by yourself in the dark is pretty damn scarry....It scared the hell out of me!

Event Horizion was scary right until the end where the superhuman evil guy started fighting the captain, after that I just laughed my **** off for 30 minutes.

At the time it was Freddy Crougar (spl?) Nightmare on Elms Street. I was 6. I couldn't sleep for a couple of nights. I haven't seen it since though.

I really don't know for myself, but my sister was shaking while watching final destination, that was before she got at all used to scary movies though.

There are only two movies that scared me so much I couldn't watch til the end:

    * Day of the Triffids - I was only little when I first saw it, and I've not had a chance to see it now I'm all grown up
    * Audition - It creeped my shiznit out so much I had to go sit and whimper in the next room while my girlfriend happily watched on. Because I'm such a macho macho man.

Nightmare on Elm Street 1, my childminder brought it over when it was released on video (bear in mind i was very young) and i watched some, i had nightmares for weeks and it haunted me for a year or two.

Now they're totally hillarious to me, but back then.....

There's not really that many films that scare me, i watch horrors virtually every day so i've become desensitised really.

Darkness Falls. Then playing Silent Hill 1, 2 or 3.

Go ahead, make the "that movie was stupid" joke.

Watch it. Then play some Silent Hill.

And live out in the country, where it's always dark.

If 28 Days Later comes out for Halloween i'll go nuts. And Blair Witch was scary, by yourself in a cabin, good fun.

28 Days Later....didn't so much scare me as afraid to go outside without some sort of light source.

    i'd say.... signs.

i watch movies like the ring (it's such a good example of this) and i get creeped out or jolted... but that fades real quick.

with signs, it was such a good culmination to the point where the alien walks across the alley..

i felt scared inside for days. it was awesome.

I don't like scary movies, as I hate the feeling of being terrified, and I'm a major pansy. So I don't see many of these movies to begin with.

So I'd say the scariest movie that I've seen is the Sixth Sense.

    [edit]
And in a related note Zig remind me of:

My friend almost crapped his pants at the Sixth Sense and I'm talking like not sleeping for a week (and he was 22 at the time), but didn't even jump at Signs. His reasoning? "Well Signs wasn't based on real stuff..." heh.
