Give me your thoughts, but the way I see it, when the marines are fully teched out living off one res node in marine spawn everyone wants to go onos. I think a bunch of three hive fades acid spamming the base is alot more effective then the onos and maybe it would not take so freaking long to dig the marines out of there. Am I wrong?

    well, Id say mass xenociding with skulks is themost effective way of killing a turtled up MS...they basically do slight dmag to structures but most importantly , kill all attepmts to repair...the occasional carapcae onos suiciding to get the TF or maybe half a dozen turrets too...

    It doesn't happen because too many people are stupid.

    100 res is more than 50 res so onos must be better. Then they get their onos and they don't want to die so they just sit around devouring and blocking the hallway.

    Yes if 4 - 6 people went fade the base would be cracked in minutes.

    aw man, a organized skulk mass xenocide rips marines in thier little "base" to shreds within seconds, but i prefer going onos and devour whoring and chuckling at the lower lifeforms who are not on the top of the food chain any more!

    Personally, I think acid rockets are a bit too weak, they should deal 60 dmg or 50 dmg with knockback.


    Anyhow, all you need is one or two onos to stomp and pretty much make a brick wall against the marines, and then the fades use the onos as a living barricade to anhilate the opposition. Even if acid rockets are weak, en masse they flatten marines.


    You pretty much need everything, but personally I think the backbone of every alien army should be fades. Everything else is to support them.

    Onosing then vacuuming a rine from 12 feet away is fun just to show that you can..... however dedicated base rushes revolve around hellish numbers of skulks xenociding. Bye bye organised defence - and that means you can take out the tf with ridiculous ease. After that you can xeno some more before sending in an onos for humiliation.
