The pain... Do a search. It is because of hull issues. Check the mapping forum or change-log or something

Onos stuck problems on nancy came into the game with 2.0, something to do with hull files I believe. So yes, in 1.04 you probably could play with oni on nancy (although oni got stuck everywhere in 1.0). However, in 2.0 they will get stuck every time. Check out the mapping forum for the definitive nancy-rebuild thread.

They changed something about how the maps or the onos works (not really sure what though). Since they didn't have the original nancy source code, the couldn't add the change into the map, so it doesn't work with onos in 2.0. Everyone already knows that onos were fine in nancy in 1.04.

You said it yourself. Onoses get stuck on ns_nancy in 2.0. Unfortunately you are mistaken about the important part; it is indeed the map's problem, and since the source was lost nothing can be done about it unless the map is recreated.

I'm just curious as to what the REAL problem is. What happened that causes the stickiness?

The problem was that pre-2.0 NS had some bugs related to hulls. These bugs masked the fact that ns_nancy was compiled with the wrong hull sizes. Once we fixed the hull bugs in the code, the hull problems in nancy became a problem.

when i played awhile back in linuxmonster on the original ns_nancy on 2.0 onos got stuck ALOT and it seemed there is a bug on that map or something because the devour's range is just tooooooooo long, at least 2-3 x it is now <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
