Constant Crashing/serverdoc Problems

My first problem was that my server would <i>ALWAYS</i> crash. It happens more or so by random. I suspected the problem was that the bots I ran were building too many structures, or my team was building too many, but now it just crashes randomly for no reason. Anyone have a clue as to what might be causing this? I have an AMD Athlon 1.47ghz processor w/ 256 MB of ram. I run a good amount of bots on my server (~~10) and rarely more then 3 humans at a time (one of which is usually me, connecting over a LAN).
My second question has to do w/ serverdoc. It works as it should, when the HLDS window closes, it restarts it. However, usually when HLDS crashes, the window doesn't close, it just stops responding. I'm using windows XP. Is there something I can do to get the window to close?
