<div class="IPBDescription">gotta ask away</div> After a little discussion with my fellow clanmates, the need to create this topic arose so here goes:
I'll just ask away making it short... Back in the day sometime ago, players from competitive NS clans were chosen to test the next versions of NS, the "veterans", those who would be bringing their point of view of NS (the competitive side) to testing new versions. Correct?
Anyways, there were quite a numerous amount of players chosen... At least a hundred or even more, correct? Yet I keep hearing complaints from my clanmates (who were in the clan back in the day and got selected) that there seems to be barely enough vet players actively testing the new versions nowadays... To me it seems weird considering how many (active) clans were selected in both U.S. and EU afterall and not that long ago.
Now onto my question, do you other vets (and members of vet clans) think that this actually true? Is the activity of current vet players and clans falling so much that there's need to refresh the vet base, or is this just a narrow point of view?
Well, feel free to bring your points to the discussion <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

he said lux!
we will be fine once steam is working properly
fyi 400+ beta testers (constelation members) were added today.
From all I've heard the majority of the 'veterans' contribute very little to the beta testing these days... apparently a lot of them who never post any feedback or play the game on the beta servers posted in a thread collecting their SteamIDs, which just goes to show most of them are along for the free ride and the icon and not actually to help and benefit the games development.
Oh well, human nature shining through I guess <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
BTW, playtesting is more work than play. You get buggy, unbalanced versions to hammer away at for endless hours, and then you get to submit bug reports and the like. It's not a free ticket to be the first ones to play 2.1.
It's hardly going to change radically, soon.

Well look on your "group" on the left, because that's what we're talking about and not about how "elite" someone considers himself.

But I'm so much more eliter then you, must have been a mistake at the bureau of randomly picked “veterans”

The fact that you said eliter as opposed to L337'er is political suicide. Poor poor misguided soul. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
if this topic is such that you want to refresh the list because you think you have merit enough to become a vet then...
