Question: Music Timing With Flash.

<div class="IPBDescription">For an upcoming project...</div> With the last Flash project I dealt with, I always found it difficult to time a musical score with the animation at hand. Whenever you play the frames, and the music starts, and you decide to pause it, the music would still continuously go by, and there was no way to play the music at a specific point; you HAD to play the song from the very beginning. Worse yet is sometimes, things would seem timed perfectly as you make the scenes, but when you exported it as an swf, the music would no longer match up.
Can anyone provide me with pointers and tips as to how to easily be able to time music with the animation you're making? Always having to start the song again is a real bloody pain.
The project will remain anonymous, simply because I think my ambition is set too high at a point where I don't have the current skills to execute the plan effectively. I'll probably draw out a storyboard first, even though it's intended to be a music video.

As for music not syncing... It should... Unless you have uploaded it to the internet, then what Fam says happens. It starts to play when it's not loaded and slows down and goes out of sync. I suggest a preloader, it only takes 5 minutes max.
Open it as a Library, then drag a copy of movPreloader onto the first frame of your timeline, and the preloader will take care of the rest, no coding needed. If youre using sounds, I would suggest starting the sound on frame two.
yea, i had the music lagging problem too, so i guess that preloader that fam posted will help things load up in time and line up all the sounds.
ill try all those things too and get back to ya
njroo ke
PERFECT.
Thanks a hell load! I never realized that there were a few more options there until I pressed the triangle...
It will be quite a while before I get to test the preloader, (getting everything down on pen-and paper first) but I'll hang on to it to test it out when that time comes.
