You 'use' the structure to 'coordinate and control' the 'phase-in' of 'nano-moleculor technology' as a marine, or you 'use' the structure to 'vomit and regurgitate' the 'biomass specimen' or just 'leave it alone' to 'reproduce, distribute, and grow' on its own as an alien builder.
Hope that clears things up for you! <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

btw, for aliens, does that mean for every building you can use either method? I hope there is some penalty for not finishing the alien building personally if that is the case, like a longer build time.
Course Gwahir, if an alien manually builds it, it goes much faster <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo--> Sometimes they need to build and run though, so the buildings slowly come online themselves.
no additional resources to build manually? Also, I have never heard of a hive being built manually, so I assumed it is an exception to the rule and must be left to itself?

nail on the head gwahir, you got it. Alien structures can be built manually at a high speed, or plopped and left to slowly grow. All marine structures must be built, but any marine can build, whereas only lvl 2s can hold "use" on their or their teammates structures. And yes, Hives have to placed and than waited for.
That sounds weird. Here's what I see, "Your armour's damaged so I'm going to fix it by running a red hot welding torch over it while you're still wearing the armour."
Still, it's no worse than fixing armour by smacking it with a wrench.
Actually, it seems practical, your welding the armor back together, how does that NOT make sense? How else is armor supposed to be repaired <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

Can you stack repair efforts? Like, for instance, could you have four marines simultaneously repairing an important structure to keep it alive until help arrives?
It looks like it, in this pic: <a href="http://www.readyroom.org/ns_ingame/rc5_ns_eclipse0023_8x6.jpg" target="_blank">http://www.readyroom.org/ns_ingame/rc5_ns_eclipse0023_8x6.jpg</a>
That pic makes the marines look like they're wondering where the manual is for the things they're holding...

if you read part 1 of 6 days in sanji it explanes that the alens tend to try and cut you in half and would sucseed except for the nano plates that stop it but the rest of your armor is broken in half soo weld it back to gether its not like a HEV charger it just fixes it.

Yeah, that picture shows several marines builing an Armory. Both building efforts (for both teams) and welding efforts stack - two people can do it twice as fast.

yeah, I prefer the welder, just don't get too close and burn my pants.

is there a limit on the number of alien chambers you can get benefits from (like so many movements somany defence etc)?
IE: Lets say there is a cloaking upgrade.
There are 3 levels of this upgrade, and each chamber you place adds one level to any one upgrade, IE, could upgrade lvl 0 to lvl1 , etc.
