Info_locations Killing My Map

CoronerCoroner Join Date: 2003-09-18 Member: 20994Members
Ive been battling with the allocblock:full error since I finished the full size layout of my map, but I though I finally got it to go away. I just went to do a final compile of my map to be beta tested, but it seems that the info_location entities kill my map and make that error return, and I cannot remedy it. If I delete them, the map compiles fine, if I keep them, it crashes, so I know for a fact that is the problem. Help anyone?

Are you using the latest compile tools? If so, are all of your info_location brushes covered with null? Also, how tall are the brushes?

    1) Actually I dont know if my version of HLZT is the latest, its been a few months at least since I got a copy, I cant find a file in the directory that lists the version I have.
    2) Yes they were created with null.
    3) I tried 8 units and went all the way down to 1 unit high and it crashed.

Run one of the tools with no input and look at the header it prints out.

I tried that. I have XP so it dosnt automatically throw in a system_pause at the end of a cmd program, so the window closes before I can read anything it shows...

nevermind, I figured it out. I had an old version, I have v1.7p12 now and it seems to be letting me run around in the map with just a fast vis compile. So hopefully it will work for the final compile and I can get this map beta tested finally.

Thanks Cagey, I dunno what you changed on Merls tools, but whatever it was, you just let me finish a map Ive worked months on. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
