Fatal Error

So I go and play like 5 hours straight of NS right, and then I get this pop up that says "Can not allocate 128 hud sprites". Well, I've gotten that before when I play for long periods of NS. No biggie, I restart Steam and everything is usually fixed.. well, this time I tried getting it to work before I restarted it. Well, the "Servers" tab was missing, so I restarted Steam and it starts downloading a patch or what not and after the patch finishes, I get a message that says "Fatal error: unable to open Steam.dll for writing(errno" and then it just cuts off.. I don't know a lot about Steam but I think that is bad. Any suggestions?
