Bad Team Guide

What to do with the newbies :)
The first few minutes of the match, i am always skulking. I have my good days and my bad days, but generally i am not bad at skulk, but what i am really doing is watching my teammate's movements. What they do will really show me weather i have a possibility of a team, or just a random assignments of idiots.

Now if you get yourself a random bunch of idiots (GL btw ):

What i like to do is place a hive, a couple D chambers (or one movement if we went that first ) at the hive i built, then waddle over to the unoccupied hive, build up a defense leading to the hive, which will give the whole team a warning when the marines decided to take a hive. If the 3rd hive is locked down, i waddle around looking for unbuilt RTs (which on pubs, happens far to often), placing a OT here and there to provide a minimal defense (and a early warning system). When i get bilebomb, i get redemption, cerelity, place any chambers my team needs (3 Ds or 3 Moves), then go on bile bombing raids on the marine stronghold in the 3rd hive. Now my team could be doing one of several things to help end the game:

1.) attacking their res nodes, in which case either i will distract the marines for them, and they take down the RTs. Or they distract the marines from me, then we get the 3rd hive... win win situation.

2.) They help me take down the 3rd hive, it falls quickly due to meh ninja gorge skills. hopefully we have at least a fade by now, he rushes in, i bilebomb, he falls back, i heal... rinse repeat... if there is enough turrets i build a few D chambers to speed up the process.

3.) They attack marine main, they distract marines, i take down 3rd Hive... then fortify or build, depending upon my res count.

You see, i really dont need to communicate with the heathens on my team... i let them do their rambo thing while i pretend it is just me playing over on the other side of the map. I f marines have more then 3 RTs, i will take down some till they do or have less, then go for the 3rd hive. If i actually see a hint of teamwork within the stupified masses, i will actually call for some attacking units to follow the ninja gorge.

So, from the start I:

a.) attack with skulk, saving for 2nd hive. (if the map is lerk friendly, i may do that instead, save for 2nd hive with all that wonderful RFK)
b.) Build 2nd Hive
c.) Build as much needed towers/chambers as possible while waiting for bilebomb
d.) attack with bilebomb
e.) Build 3rd hive (you have no idea how often i build both hives and upgrade chambers... at least they get the resource towers )
f.) Protect all hives while saving res. Movement chambers are key, along with webbing.
g.) If the final push is not started, create a sensory network in key locations
h.) Coordinate the confused nublets into a cooherent attack force, stomp over marines, repeat process.

Weather we win or lose really depends upon my ability to keep our res nodes alive, while taking down any attempt at marines taking some. If i am having a bad skulk day we usually lose, but at my best i can keep them below 2-3 RTs (with minimal support from confused idiots on my team).

As you can see... i have no repect for any of my teammates... you have to earn it through the actions you do throughout the round. When i find someone that actually knows how to play the game, i try to convince him to get something going... usually the idiots notice when we take down marine bases and squads by ourselves... and then the whole teamwork hax clicks and suddenly it is easy as pie (mmmmm pie...) to order my teammates around. Seems like you have to prove yourself a capable leader for the aliens before they listen to you. It is mush harder to lead an alien team because that whole individualism, no teamwork thing must be drilled into their heads.

"WTHXORS... U R nO Kommandar! SUYF!" i hear that alot...

    Well that doesn't sound bad.
Yet i've figured out a way of my own:

When you got newbies in your team:
    push tilde (left to 1)
    type: quit
Then start HLSW, set game to Natural Selection
    Find new server, join.

    Noob problem solved

what's the point of celerity and redemption while bb-ing? you could move to nodes faster.. but the time gained by moving fast may be the same (or less) as the time you'd gain from faster bombing... using adren...

If you get redemption as gorge, you want the speed to run back to attack faster. "suicide" bile bomb charges with gorges end up redempting you before you even use your adrenaline bar. In situations where you cant just bile from a vent (which is horribly bugged and sometimes doesnt work), this works very nicely. Plus i like the speed to keep up with skulks while battle gorging.
