Ns Steamed Keeps Crashing Since Last Week

<div class="IPBDescription">(was running fine before)</div> Hi, I'm having this problem where for the past week, my NS Steamed keeps crashing on the following messages below. Last month, I had used the NS Seamed installation (2.x) and had no problems, until last week.
<b>Please no comments on how Steam sucks. I'm not asking your opinion of it. I'm asking if you have/had this problem.</b>
It's happening every time I try to play NS Steamed. I join a game then 5-15 minutes later, it crashes with a looping sound (any sounds playing at that time). I used to have this in non-Steamed but once every 4 months.
When this happens, it loops on a sound just before crashing. I did found that this NVOGLNT.LRC is an ASUS WinXP module. I had the latest ASUS Video drivers and tried with NVDIA's but no luck.
I asked several times in Steam's forum and even the Steam guy that does the Steam updates. They can't give me an answer (most probably don't have time to investigate). I figured I'm not the only one having this so I'm asking here.
Has anyone ever got this ?

I have AMD Athlon+2100,
1Gb memory,
GF 4 MX (ASUS card), latest NVDIA drivers (had ASUS drivers before),
Win XP Pro,
Sound blaster,
DirectX 8.1
HL OpenGL Driver, no EAX, HL Retail

From the looks of it, it seams to be mostly AMD + GForce related. Updating my motherboard drivers maybe ?
