Sounds like a blast, I'm considering purchasing. How is the multiplayer? What system is it on? (Please no gamespy) and does it require cd key to play? I might find a friend with it and try it out otherwise.
I played it last night...it's nothing to special, toss leaning into MOH and you have COD Really though all these WW2 games start to look alike after awhile, someone needs to tell these game makeing companies we have enough of them. DOD, MOH(about 3 of them now), BF1942(3 of these too) not to mention numerous others that didn't make it "big", and now COD. Enough is enough, how about a War of 1812 game huh huh lets try something new
Just wanted to say... the demo levels don't do the game justice. I repent for dissing on this game earlier.
Its quite a nice game.

I just played the Demo. Sweet god. I LOVE WWII! The one thing I don't like about the game it's basicly MOH:AA with it's mother ****ing leaning. That's terrible. Very fun though, friend's going to send it over so I have the full game.

I enjoyed playing the COD demo's so much more than playing the entire MOH:AA. Thats saying something. Perhaps its because COD points out that you are a mere mortal, a pawn in this Epic War, and not some Rambo on a mission to singlehandidly win it. Play the Hero and you end up dead. I like that kind of atmosphere
I don't know I took out like 6 germans while sidesteping with the tommy gun.....thats ramboing in my book and it worked fine. Like I said, it's not a bad game, it's just nothing new at all.
Sure you can. You really have to lay into them though. I did a few times by accident when I played through the SP on 'Hardened' difficulty the second time around the Nazi swarms in Pavlov's house had me shooting anything that breathed.

Maybe it's just the Demo then? Because when you aim at them when you're close the Crosshair goes red and you can't fire. Shooting them when you're far, they just sand there. Or even toss a nade at them... nothing. I managed to bounce one on someone's head.
If you're further away (in the demo) you can shoot at them, just back sorta far away and open fire.
Dawnville has some slightly different aspects though: You can snipe them with a Fallschirmjaegergewehr ...or the scoped Karbiner 98 at the end. Sometimes when you shoot your own guys it'lll automatically make you die and say "Friendly fire is not allowed" or something.

Its cause of different Q3 server settings(its like a super-mini server for it. This may be proof that co-op is a big possibility).
And Reasa: Play multiplayer more, because its DEFINATELY making huge differences there. Once you get used to it(at first, its VERY hard), it becomes God. And while you can't shoot your own men, you can if you want, but either way, you get automatic backup anyway.
If you rambo in multiplayer, its like the SP: You die. FAST. Mostly because people are smarter than AI, always. Multiplayer is truly thrilling, if you let it engrosse you. Heres one time for me:
On the map, mp_pavlov (the MP version of Pavlov's House), I was a russian. I spawn, its Search and Destroy mode, so I'm defending 2 grenade guns that are essential for getting rid of Tanks(in the SP, you actually do). I take my scoped Mosig-Nagant, and move behind 3 PPSh troops into the Enemy spawn area, going through a trench. A grenade suddenly flies down the stairs once were in, taking out 2 of them. So now, I have one PPSh friendly, severly wounded, and me. He takes out the grenadier, then were left alone in the building (we searched it). I set up a camping sniper spot on the second floor, and was able to take out 4 different guys running around, in that spot. Suddenly, I get the announcement, "The Bomb Has Been Planted"(I know, like CS, but the maps are professional enough to make a big difference). I run back at the russian house, taking up a german MP44, and sweep, floor to floor, looking for anyone. I meet up with 2 more Russians, and we keep going. Finally, we get to the bomb, and I start defusing, as we get rushed by 6 germans! Suddenly, 2 of the germans went down, then 2 more- I glance out the window- 2 Russian snipers on the ground. I defuse, round over.
Now, imagine my blood running so hard the whole time, that by the end, my wrists hurt.
I just got finished with Pavlov's house, that was fuggin intense. Can't type about it now, must play more CoD.
The multiplayer is most excellent too, I had some proper "Enemy at the Gates" sniper fights on mp_pavlov, and when you die you get this awesome "Killcam" feature from your killer's perspective showing your fatal last moments.

Amen, my brethren.
Duff- just wait for the very final mission. You'll be like me- a wannabe CWAG
It is not overrate. People who understands warfare would like this game. People who dont will bash on the hype. Yeah CoD was awsome maybe if you play it in more harder difficulty, it wouldnt be that short. My favorite missions are actually the first few with the paratroopers and the first two british mission, and loved the whole russian campaign. How is this a left off from MOHAA was about a totally different part of the war it didn't feature much Brits and Russians.

Favourite missions for me are the car chase, Pegasus Bridge, and the intial Stalingrad landing (now that was intense!). I hope they release a level editor or Gtk gets round to supporting it, cause I'm itching to make some other famous battles like Kursk and the inevietable beach landings.

Nope no sniper bane either, on the servers that I play it only has a few snipers depending on what map it's never like AWPing (CS). Scope zoom is not instant either.
I'm playing through on vet (imagine that), and I can't friggin beat Pavlov's house. Having to take out 7 germans with one clip of MP40 ammo, then rush to a tank gun, hit it twice, then turn around, toss a nade down the hall so I don't get ambushed, then jump on the tank gun again, dodge the incoming MG fire from the tank, hit it a third time, turn around, nail the german trying to smack the back of my head, then run my **** out of there because it's about to blow from another tank.......... I've had to take like 3 breaks cause I get so frustrated.
*whimpers*
I need some med packs.
[Best game I've played in a long LONG time. I think I'd sell my soul for a objective based map with continous spawning.]
I beat the game on veteran and normal already, here's how i did the house.
Take it from the REAR, its impossible to rush teh front of the house on the Veteran Difficualty, you have to sneak around back. Anyway, wait until the scripted sequences start with the tank guns. After you use the tank gun on the top floor go back to the other room with the tank gun, the one on the bottom floor, and stay there. From here you can the Germans coming up the stairs and shoot them. Use the RIFLE not your SMG! If they get past you and try to come in then switch the SMG and rush them back, try to kill as many as possible with one full clip, don't hold back. After the guys that rushed you are dead switch back to your rifle and go back into the room, note that from your small rush you will now have more SMG ammo . Rinse and repeat.
I took it up the front. That was pretty easy. I just can't hold it. If I get into a corner, I get nailed by a random tank shell, if I stand at the top of the stairs, I get nailed from behind, because there's always two ways up. Arg.
