Lets try to get some role playing going.
Remember in the Matrix Reloaded how Neo gets a "call" from the Oracle? Who is the one that finds this out?
Lets make a RPG where our mission is to remain plugged in the matrix waiting for a sign from the Oracle, and some agents show up.
Some rules for this RPG (if you play, you MUST obey these rules)..
1) You can only control yourself. And you are limited to only the things say Trinity or Morpheus could do (NOT NEO!!!).
2) You can't dodge bullets. Don't assume you can dodge agent's bullets all day.
3) I can decide if you die (in this RPG, doing something stupid will get you dead).
4) Everybody must have a brief description of their character and their own personalized DISTINCT color/style of font. Before you RPG, you must describe your character, weapon, "downloaded skills," personality traits, strengths, weaknesses. Weapons are limited to things you can hold which DO EXIST in real life.
5) NOBODY IS NEO OR THE ONE!
I'll start.
<b>Character:</b> Haw]{eye
Description: Approximately 6'2" and 160 pounds. Wears sunglasses and a trenchcoat which hangs down to his knees. Shotgun can be hidden within the trenchcoat.
<b>Weapon:</b> 12-gauge shotgun
<b>Downloaded skills:</b> Helicopter controls, hacking skillz, bomb operative arming/disarming abilities
<b>Personality Traits:</b> Captain of the Valico, he assumes leadership position of the crew. He asks much of his crew and has been known to threaten crew members of being left on the outside of zion if there is so much a hint of disobedience. Overall though, he expects nothing less than the best from himself and his crew.
<b>Strengths:</b> Leadership
<b>Weaknesses:</b> Sympathy
<b>Quote:</b> "It's my ship. If you don't like it, you can leave."
<i>A ringing cell phone lies on the ground in the middle of an alley, with several people strangely dressed surrounding it. The walls are wet from a rainstorm not long before with drains throwing out gallons of water onto the ground.</i>
<span style='color:blue'>Okay, are we all here? We have orders from Zion to find the Oracle. She has been found in an abandoned apartment building a couple blocks from here. Avoid contact from anyone, for that will spawn agents. Are we crystal clear on this?! Lets move!</span>

<span style='color:gray'><u>*appears in the alley*

*cracks knuckels</span></u>
If anyone of you allow us to fail this mission, I'll personally hand you over to the squids. You got that?</span>
Hey P-Khan, do you want to be the 2nd RPG "master"? If I don't get on the forums for a while, someone else should be able to "make the calls" so to speak and decide what happens next in the RPG. I nominate you, P-Khan. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
P-Khan (if he accepts it) has the priviledge like me to decide what happens in the RPG FYI.
char: dea
discription: 4' 12" 110 lbs. wears black kevlar body armor under a black leather jacket.

personality traits: arrogent and mistrustful, dea is the newest addition to the valico. she has a long history of being transfered due to 'personality conflicts' with her crewmwmbers. in reality she simply hates men, and is all too aware that she can take almost anyone down in the training sims.
strengths: combat

Heh, it doesn't work that way...Otherwise we would be seeing people besides Neo capable of some limited flight.
I think the way it works is that you need a target more or less the same height that you are at, some distance away, and with a big space in between. Sorry for interrupting your roleplaying, but that seemed a bit off...
Remember that the Matrix has rules. Some can be bent, others can be broken. But only if you go about it properly. Similarly, you are not a program that can walk on walls and ceilings... Though some limited levitation is certainly possible, but it would take some serious training. Picture Trinity's specialty, the crane kick, and you'll get the right idea.
Of course, if the thread starter wanted to throw all this out the window, he could. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
And daein is right, this forum is for NS fan-fiction.
Oracle: I see a phase in your future.
Appearance: Usually tan cargo pants and a dark jacket, underneath is a level 3 bulletproof vest and combat webbing. For this mission a long waterproof trenchcoat is being worn instead of the jacket. Brown hair is cut short, and I am wearing black framed glasses. (note the right pocket of the trench coat has been removed to allow access to the m92fs)
Downloaded skills:15th centuary 1 and 1/2 handed swordsmanship, standard martial arts, basic demolitions.
Weapons: beretta M92fs with detachable suppressor, H&K CAWS (<a href='http://world.guns.ru/shotgun/sh18-e.htm' target='_blank'>a type of fully automatic, magazine fed shotgun</a>) and a 15th centuary 1 and 1/2 handed sword (also known as a bast*rd sword), 2 pounds C4, a roll of det cord, and some detinators.
Advantage and disadvantage: Unconvential tactics and beleifs.
<span style='color:green'>*I say to Darkness "When we get back do ya want to spar against me with your flash katana? Bet ya I could win!*
*As I climb, I address the captain, "So are we going in equiped for an assault, captain?"*</span>
dark, thatsa lot of downloads. or looks like it. everyone else has two. and you didnt put your stringths or weaknesses....
edit: wow bill. thats a lot of equipment. ok, so maybe i came in with too few dowloads and equip. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
and i agree on the limits. we can slow down time, but its very limited. we can jump high, but also limited. unlike neo, we bend the rules, not re-write them. now, a superjump to a fire escape (presumably on the first floor or two) is well possible. so is 'chimny walking' if there are two walls close togeather. jumping to the top of the building is not. nor is flight, dodging bullets, or killing agents. (no one ever did it before neo).
makes me wish i played enter the matrix.
Edit: Oh and...I doubt a bullet-proof vests is going to help against agent's guns. But it should help with normal security, though it will slow you down. So if you're alright with that...
Further edit: I don't think I've ever seen any character besides Neo make that high of a jump without anything else to boost off from. Perhaps if there was another wall near (so you can be like Jacky Chan) or a trash bin... If you can tell me where it is shown that Zion residents can jump straight up over 10 feet then I'll just shut up. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
If the agents guns are 'standard' Desert Eagles in .50 AE, then the level 3 vest is going to reduce the effects by a lot! This can stop rifle rounds, but this would put me out of action for a while. The .50 AE will not put me out of action for long (Big round nosed slow moving bullet comaired to the faster, sharper rifle bullets). Also the solid trama plates will significantly reduce flexability.

as for jumping 10 feet up to a one story roof, it happens in the animatrix. i dont remeber seeing it in the movie.
Appearance: Black floor length trench coat, black trousers, black tight long-sleeved shirt, sunglasses, black shoes, short black hair
Weapons: 2x Beretta 92FS Elite (handguns, holsters attached to thighs), 2x H&K MP5K (SMG's, under the jacket), Mossberg 500 (shotgun, on back), lots of knives hidden everywhere
Personality, special traits: Dependable and loyal, prefers stealth but is ready to wreak some havoc when needed, very fast
Skills: Expert martial arts and acrobatics, standard hacking, standard weapons training
<span style='color:orange'>*appears at the alley*
*notices that the others are already on the way*
*starts wall-to-wall jumping upwards*</span> ((that should be doable, at least with expert acrobatics, hmm?))
The sword is about 1.4kg and 1200mm long, which is about the right length for a sword worn on the hip.
Can't find anything on ammunition.
Expect the worst. That's all I have to say. No doubt the agents are expecting our arrival.</span>
<i>From the roof, the expanse of apartment buildings spans the area. In the far distance lies the heart of the city and its skyscrapers. A lady hanging up her laundry on the roof looks curiously at the Captain. </i>
<span style='color:blue'>****! Get your **** up here now!
*pulls out his shotgun from underneath his trenchcoat*</span>
<i>The lady's face distorts briefly before an agent takes her place. He pulls out his gun and begins racing towards the Captain preparing to fire.</i>
*moves up to roof*
[fires smg at the agent]</span>
*I slip out of the trenchcoat, revealing my weapons. I bring up the CAWS and select the full auto mode*
"Ya know, I always wanted to see an Agent dodge buckshot"
[I aim for the groin and wait untill the Agent is within 50-75 metres range before opening fire on full auto]
"Dodge this!"</span>
Alright, last post before I entrude on your session any further. <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo--> I think I remember which one you're talking about. That is still pretty exceptional, but I guess it's very possible. It shouldn't be a common ability though.
<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->so whats a small decrease in speed? still superhuman.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Could be the difference between being behind cover when the bullets come, or not. So anybody with body armor, and without very specific speed training while wearing that protection, should expect to get winged at least once every few missions. This is the kind of experience that can only come with long term training, not a downloadable program.

You'll be fine. Don't worry.
I remind everybody that I CAN kill you. Don't get too John Wayne.
"Ah crap!"
*I drop the CAWS and turn and run to the edge. I attempt to jump onto the next roof, following P-Khan*
</span>
Point. I aimed for the groin (unconventional tactics). That agent must be a champion limbo-er!
As for the agents not being able to be killed, I was hoping to slow it down a bit, prehaps to force it to take over another person. This would gain time to escape.

FN Minimi developed by Fabrique Nationale, Belgium. Development started in 1974, in 1981 first serial manufactured Minimis were submitted for NATO trials. Adopted by many countries, including USA (under designation M249 SAW), Canada (C9), Australia (F-89) and others.
Minimi (F-89) light machine gun is gas-operated (using rotating bolt locking system), magazine or disintegrating metallic link-belt fed, individually portable machine gun capable of delivering a large volume of effective fire to support infantry squad operations. No modification required to use STANAG-type box magazines or the magazine from the M16 Armalite. Minimi/F-89 has quick interchangeable barrels, and could be equipped with shorter barrel and folding stock for close combat operations. The F-89 fires the improved NATO Standard SS 109 type 5.56mm ammunition.
