Dunno but that's the same error I got when I played quake 1 on nvidia hardware a year or so ago <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->, driver issue maybe?

oddly enough, half life was built off the quake 1 engine, and im using an nvidia card (geforce 4 GO for my laptop) never had this problem before untill i reinstalled HL, and NS a few days ago..

Not quite, the graphics engine is a modified quake 2 engine, the physics stuff and player movement and such is modified quake 1 if memory serves me correctly.
