    Go to the Steam video options. There's a checkbox to turn on or off windowed mode.

    hey.. why does this need "fixed"? <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I always run in a window, I prefer it. Though the sound issue has been fixed, it's just easier for me. No worries about dropping in and out of the game slowly.. it's just a window. And back in the days of WON, you'd often lose sound.

    My games seem much more stable, and popups/IMs/whatever don't hinder me, should I get any. Nor do other error messages.

    Give it a try sometime. =P

    You can play even old "WON" in window :-) Just add -windowed (or -win?) parameter to HL...

    Yeah, there's an option to enable mirror and disable mirror.

    That's what I said.. that's why I started. Steam fixed the problems that WON would cause being fullscreen.
    You don't have to add -win, though.. you can, but there's also an option to run in a window in the video settings. ::shrug::

    Title bar and lines... non-issue. I'm only focused on the game when I'm playing. ;P
