they didn't have a text to speech converter in half-life... AFAIK making a computer talk is the one area of computer development that hasn't really advanced at all in 10 years or so...

and as far as i know i've got the latest windows movie maker, and no problems w/ it here. be a bit more descriptive w/ the problem to get more descriptive help.

Movie Maker is not new I hear it's easy and it sucks.

There is no text converter but if you wanna speak "13-37" then find "13-77" text converter" on google.(this is a program, it does not work with hl)

he said speech, not leet speak. :P

and windows movie maker is quite powerful for a free movie editing tool. Also the exports are damned fast.Sure the only format is .wmv's but hey, I don't really care. Its lightyears FASTER (and more stable) than Adobe Premiere by a longshot, as well as Ulead Videowhateveritscalled. Easy to use to boot...

And did I mention it doesn't cost $500?
