    I think they're suggesting that he uses one from there, since the site (absolutswede's) is...well...lacking (no offense)

    Well I did it all by my self.... thats why its probably "lacking"... I havent done any thing in html for 4 years... or more... but yeah this is definatly all my work.... as in the coding some grafics I admit to not have done.

    So what is lackin... just the way it does not support multi-resolution to an extent?? or?? If u guys tell me I can fix it.
  • Fox_OneFox_One Join Date: 2003-01-15 Member: 12310Members
    Well...it's rather pixelated, the buttons are too large (At 800x600) and you could use a new main graphic...it's sorta fugly. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I might be able to do something about multi-resolution support... but yeah wait till to moro kinda l8 here right now... but yeah i definatly know what u r talking about, I design this site in 1024 x 768.... so yeah Ill fix that soonish.

    Ok I did it just then but it will still look slightly ugly with pixels... this is since it is designed for 1024 x 768 or above users... Now look at it again n tell me if it is slightly better... i cant do much about the pixels since low resolution users get those... n yeah I can only do something about that if i pull down my resolution and re do it... but i doubt I will... atleast not now. Please more comments... need feed back so that I can improve it.

    edit - i will upgrade the multi-resolution support... maybe l8er today... but yeah keep the comments coming!

    <u><b>Critisism</b></u>

    Layout is too... simple <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Lack of colours

    No proper nav bar - Just some pictures shoved togther in a frame

    <u><b>Suggestions</b></u>
    Add some more colours

    Use different font for navbar buttons (get someone whos good at that type of stuff to do it for you)

    Blend the 2 frames togther... they stand out too much

    Thanx <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> See this guy knows how to give good feedback.

    Yeah i thought about some of that... n yeah i know how to design stuff i just dont have the tools right now <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> So yeah this site was thrown together in a day with bottom range tools... Ill see what i can do about getting my hands on some good gear like photo shop... but until then i doubt i will attempt redesigning the entire thing.

    Did ne 1 try the marine hud sound pack... just interested on some comments on that as well... n yeah keep the good, suggestive feedback coming... I know the site needs work, thats why I started this thread.

    i was suggesting you take a layout from that webpage, becuase the whole website looks really bad imo, the graphics, text, frames, etc, I give you props for doing it yourself. But its really really not lookin good. You can get a trial of Dreamweaver MX from www.macromedia.com lasts 30 days, so if your really content on doing it yourself, thats the way to go.
