Space Colony!
Space Colony is a recently release Sims/Sim City/X-Com hybrid-type game from the Gathering of Developers people. And it's been really fun so far, though I'm only a third done.
You can have up to about 20 people with very different personalities, as you can't really create your own, and are given a string of missions on different worlds. Each person has needs, but the more vital needs vary from person to person. You have most of your standard 'Sims' requirements, although you never have to go the toilet. But you also have a health need which can take someone out of the picture for a mission. The people can fight if they hate each other and their surroundings enough and they can go crazy from needs that never get filled. You can also create androids of short to medium life spans that can take over some of the needed tasks. Which include taking out the trash, repairing broken base structures, repairing damaged external structures, nutrient extraction, mining, guard duty, weeding, power control, oxygen control, medi-bay prepping, scavenging, and others...
There is one path of peaceful missions and another longer path of military missions where you fight against various types of aliens. There is also a Galaxy mode where you can choose from three galaxies with planets of varying difficulty that each have their own very specific mission(s) that you have to accomplish. Then there is a sandbox mode, with ready-made planets to challenge you or to just have fun with, and an editor to create your own planets and missions. You're given a nice variety of base defenses and there is a kind of side-game where you can draw tourists. It has a difficulty setting and it's pretty accurate too. Easy is simple enough, it's actually possible to mess up in normal, and I haven't tried difficult yet but I expect good things.
It can get kind of cramped, so you should raise your resolution the moment you get in, and the default mouse pointer is kinda off, but you can fix that in the settings.
So go out, buy it, and give them your money!!!

This is one i'm definatly planning on getting at some point, the demo was pretty good.
A winnar is this game.
I'll have to try that. :DThe only thing is the things need the gas and the only guy qualified to get it seems to be tired all the tired. Maybe I should send him to bed for a while

You mean stig?
Well Venus is better at mining gas actually, and Stig is the only one qualified to make that silicon you mined in the last level into electronics, so get him doing that.
I usually have Slim and Tami on the bridge, with Nailer repairing (inside and out) and Candy cleaning. Yes I know Tami is better at cleaning but Candy is pretty much good for nothing, so get her doing the only thing she can.
If weeding needs doing I get Slim to do it. I know Nailer's better, but Tami can handle the bridge alone for a bit, she just has to keep switching stations now and again.
I need this game.
It seems everything has, not to be hijacking a thread or anything, but who cares if it was posted X amount of months ago? As long as it's good and stuff, its not right to shoot down topics like this.

Venus is the only one that can operate the Scavenger. I would make her work on the gas but I need my scavenger stuff. Most of the time my men are knocking lumps out of each other instead of working
EDIT: Btw has it been released yet? If so I can get it when I'm in town tomorrow.
Edit 2: Finally completed it!
