Oh, I've changed my mind. The male lead's name is now Squoudaneus.
My roomate, who is a Final Fantasy nut, is a good 200mhz under the min req. specs of ff11, bought it anyway thinking his "ultra powerful geforce 2 mx" would make it run good.... So after a complete format the thing still won't even install. heh.
Final Fantasy, the most milked franchise out there. With fanboys so stupid they will argue endlessly about at what point FF started to suck while standing in line with their copy of FFXI.
It proves just how much is wrong with this world when the FF franchise lives on while *good* RPGs like Baldurs Gate and Fallout 3 are left to die.
The thing is, the FF games are able to appeal to a wide fanbase because they aren't just "number" crunching.
Baldurs Gate was a D&D RPG. Not a too-big fanbase.
Fallout was a D&DISH (I said ish) RPG. Everything came down to numbers and "dice" rolls.
Final Fantasy has some aspects of D&D but it doesn't come down to numbers. The Ice monster kicking your arse with Physical? Fire-ize it or use Ifrit. The Fire Immune absorbing damage? Use Shiva or a non-elemental such as...BAHAMUT.

The guy on the right reminds me of <a href='http://www.gameforms.com/games/ps2/ffx-2/media/media18/view/painecg1.jpg' target='_blank'>Paine</a> the female character from FFX-2.
Looks really really really, colourful <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> looks like the FFX engine, odd, you would expect them to use the FFX11 engine.

Japan is already getting previews for FF 12 and we haven't even got X-2 or 11 yet!

See y'all in a few millenia.
